b) most importantly, couldn't that had been implemented from the start of the project, out of respect for the citizen?
(emphasis added)
That made me laugh in a sad, sad way. I wouldn't even say that respect for citizens seems low on their list of priorities, rather it seems the opposite is quite important to them.
Are they threatening to shoot missiles at our missile defense? Really? I almost want to see how well that goes for them. How many missiles will they go through before they figure it out?
Additionally, I am quite surprised, no shocked really, that Russia would have so little respect for the sovereignty of Poland! Given the long history of these two countries relationship and past cooperation I, um, oh yeah, nevermind...
If they can't shoot missiles at us, but we can shoot missiles at them, then there's nothing preventing us from just nuking them out of existence next time we have a disagreement.
Fine. We'll just agree not to use it against their missiles. They just need to call 60 minutes before any launch.

The truth is, that AQ or other terrorists, are very likely to use Avian flu in an attack. The reason is that it can easily be converted to a weapon and then run around and spread it all through the west. And yes, AQ DOES know this.
Then they should also know that the virus would not be confined to the West, and would rampage through their homes as well. The only thing that would be confined to the West would be the vaccines. And while the terrorists get plenty of stupid and gullible people to do their work, the people in charge (usually) aren't so suicidal as to attack with biological weapons. IANABWE, so I don't know if this would be beyond the capability of a 'lone wolf' type of attacker.
He would probably hold Elisha Otis, Daniel Burnham, and John Root responsible too, and would be more than willing to fly somewhere and meet in a tall building to explain why he thinks they all should be exhumed, tried, shot, and reburied.
They would probably just increase their already massive weapons export business to compensate. Maybe we ought to be paying attention to stopping that. They have also allegedly been caught selling donated food, but I can't find a link to that on a legitimate website. If anything maybe we should increase the food donations to a level that embarrasses the North Korean govt. Like saying "We can afford to feed your entire mismanaged starving country from our extras, in your face (literally and figuratively)". Make sure the people know where the food is from. Allow nothing else in or out of the country. Their leaders would lose face, lose funding for the army, and nobody would starve (ok, maybe only in my world).
Only sales people that I've had trouble with past that generally are car salesmen, who've even tried the technique of blocking the exit driveway with staff so I couldn't drive off. I saw their block, and raised them a 4x4 through the hedge row. Shoulda seen the looks on their faces...

I'm also curious how many police stations will have a shiny metal, um, "stability assistance" pole in the middle of the strip search room. And how much using it will reduce bail...
After all, as Justice Stephen Breyer noted in his dissent to the majority ruling, additional amicus curiae briefs revealed that strip searches have been inflicted upon citizens collared for driving with a noisy muffler or a busted headlight, failing to use a turn signal, riding a bicycle without an audible bell – even for violating a dog-leash law.
Breyer also wrote of "a nun, a Sister of Divine Providence for 50 years, who was arrested for trespassing during an antiwar demonstration," who was strip-searched.
Do those seem like crimes for which one should be additionally punished by a strip search? Of course the real question is why would someone not convicted of any crime, and only accused of minor offenses, put into GP in a prison? IANAP so I'm not very familiar with prisons.

Reading that summary made me feel like I was taking crazy pills. So many mixed tenses. Could someone clean that shit up for readability?
Can't fix it. Oracle wrote an algorithm to check for proper tenses, and I don't want to risk getting sued for stealing it.
Maybe he just needs more fiber in his diet?
I suspect that his wife logged in to his account and posted that.

Don't tell somebody what they should be asking. Why can't we just answer the asker's question?
Sometimes the best answer is another question.
This may be the first and only Slashdot story where Costco and Walmart are mentioned in positive light.
I also never would have pictured this. But in a story about digital photos, it's hard to be negative.
I guess is was inevitable,...
Was this submission proofread while driving? Or ever?

Based on the context, I would guess it's a slang term for 'washed up', mostly used by people with a raging inferiority complex.

You can't be arrested for jaywalking (and thus no strip search), but all attractive people will now also be charged with resisting arrest.
Don't forget the squadrons of trained Killer Whales! You're more than capable of repelling any invasion that comes in tiny, fragile boats.
