  3. One man vs A Corporation on Lone Programmer Writes 352 Webcam Drivers For Linux · · Score: 2, Insightful

One man with drive, tenacity, and no funding does what no one else can do.

    Should read:

One man with drive, tenacity, no funding, earning his livelihood elsewhere, and with no one to question whether he earned a dime doing this and with no shareholder expecting you to maximize your profits does what no one else can do. A corporation will start off asking "How many people will use webcams on linux and how much $$ can we make if we write drivers for them".

  5. Pretty lame on Steal This Film · · Score: -1

I saw this film on Google Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=762725690 318243628&q=stealthisfilm ). The documentary itself is pretty lame and not particularly well made.
Just because they say, "steal this film", it doesn't mean that other films are available for free, or that the creators of the films want those films to be available for free.
Most of the documentary is about the raid on the Pirate Bay, I couldn't care less about it.

  7. ATPD? on How the Batsuit Works · · Score: -1, Offtopic

This is all fine, but does it have the newest technology of ATPD (tm)? ATPD, for the uninitiated, is Automatic Toilet Paper Dispenser. Integrating this technology with the suit will be non-trivial. How do they store the redundant backups and how do they do Garbage collection(tm)?
Figure that out first, or else the Batman is going to stink out Katie Holmes!

With respect to the age at which individuals should be eligible for the death penalty, Federal law prohibits execution of those under 18 when the offense was committed, and I see no reason to change that statue.

  9. Re:Damn it! on FCC to Regulate 'Profane' Speech · · Score: 0

If Stern's show really stepped over the line, people would stop listening to it. If people stopped listening to it, the show would be canceled, and he would be off the air.

Or they enact laws to create a regulatory body called FCC and boot the guy out of public airwaves.

This is public reaction too. If there are enough Stern admirers who think his profanity belongs to public airwaves, let them work to change the laws.

  10. What's new here? on FCC to Regulate 'Profane' Speech · · Score: 1, Insightful

Why do people want to push the envelope on profanity in public airwaves? The business is regulated as everyone knows, so play by the rules. Let Stern say whatever he wants on PPV, no one is going to regulate it. As long as it is a law, follow it. I see no reason for broadcasters to allow profane language in their broadcasts.

You can read more on him here. Science didn't start in the west and didn't flourish only there either.
