    Most bad muslims I know are more interested in stealing your car stereo than integrist terrorism. I think they use the money to buy hashish. Or maybe blank CDs so they can copy Raï and other ethnic music (you know the stuff not made by the MRAA).

    And governement departments are busy getting rid of MS software. Hell this is paradise on earth compared to what I am seeing on CNN!!! Do you guys really believe that this puny country has arms of mass destruction? The CIA doesn't...

    I have a wonderfull Spidi jacket that slides just fine and doesn't wear through on long slides either.

    Shoulder, elbow and if you aren't wearing a pack, back protections are another must have.

    Kevlar jeans are a strange color but having skin on your legs is much more comfortable than what is left if you are wearing denim.

    I second this!

    They need improving a lot. Everything is in there but it is not clearly laid out. The logic is often wrong.

    My HOWTO integrate Tomcat/postgresql/Dreamweaver Ultradev was an attempt at helping the lower end of application programmers like myself to get a quick start. The latest MX version points to a HOWTO at Sun for Tomcat setup. It is much easier to follow than the docs.

    Why MUST it run on Windows? I thought that you were looking for a stable, secure and easy to maintain solution...

    * Stable, mature, secure for corporate strength (over 10 product categories, each with 8-10 products)

    100 products that's static HTML territory. A flat text file database with Perl is an alternative look at DBman

    * Easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to maintain for someone who is comfortable with server maintenance and website design, but not too knowledgeable. I'll leave the company by January

    Dream on. Secure web applications aren't easy. It is a real job!

    * Not too much programming involved. HTML and ASP/PHP-ish are OK.

    Dreamweaver MX is point and click. Works for ASP and PHP and others.

    I would say that you should run out and buy a few books on web applications and come back in six months...

    If OASIS is good it should be reasonably easy to take it appart and recode in JSP.

    And put in Postgresql as the backend of course =:-D

    You can get second hand O2s in Europe. Get two: one for design and the second as a renderer. You only need one screen and a KVM.

    Or get the bigest most memory laden Mac G4 with the high end video card option and two 23" TFT screens.

    You will be much more productive than on SGI for less money. The extra cash can be thrown at a Linux render farm...

    jsp is not php. Badly programmed jsp won't work. Badly programmed php will work on the developers machine and crash everybody elses browser...

    OASIS won't do. The guy is looking for a jsp solution.

    GM isn't about yeilds its about profit

    Cross polinisation has nothing to do with inserting chicken genes into wheat

    US farmers are the ones suffering most from GM crops because they have become the slaves of the seed producers

    Um from the little knowledge I have:

    GM grain is sterile in most cases. So they are keeping the grain from people who would plant it and thus die of hunger waiting for it to germinate...

    I got off my plane from NZ in 1976 and fell into the craziest summer of my life.

    I saw them on TV when Souxie (groupie) called the dirty old bastard a dirty old bastard.

    I saw lots of groups in concert but I really can't tell you which ones because we were always stoned out of our heads, or drunk, usually both...

    The 25th jubilee evening was a lot of fun probably because I watched it on TV and it was raining and cold as hell.

    I have a friend in the US. When I need a product from say Amazon and they won't ship outside of the US (usually because the power adaptor in the box is 110V) I have it shipped to her (often free) and she ships to me.

    Latest example Linksys WAN router/FW cost $70 port included. Cheapest equivalent in Europe $100...

    Always have products shipped as "gifts" = no sales tax...

    Having your DVDs gift wrapped by Amazon saves money believe me!

    The european govt said "lets have just one standard so that all europe can communicate" and it's a bad thing?
    And that meant lower deployement and usage costs and it is a bad thing?
    And the free market (trading at levels it traded at 6 years ago) did the right thing and "soon" will show that it was right?

    Great.

    Now if we just had US-html and Euro-html the web would be a better place and the "free market" would win again right?
