no, for me, it's when you are 15 levels of branches and loops deep and you have all the white space on the left...
If you're nested that deeply, then perhaps it's time to reconsider your coding style. More than 4 or 5 levels is a serious warning. There are these great new inventions called "functions" and "procedures" that might help.
not all of that nesting is my fault, and as a mater of a fact i've been slowly removing some of that nesting from the code i've inherited by using methods (the term of choice in Objective C.) besides, that fifteen figure i mentioned before was an exaggeration - to some extent.
don't forget that methods/functions/procedures/etc have more overhead than branching - especially with an environment as dynamic as Cocoa/GNUStep/NexStep.
using full names verses your abbreviations, for the same symbol names kinda negates your augment though;) (and it still fits in this tiny little html editor)

yes, but you can minimize the quality loss by using S-Video, or Component Video. If you already have a Laser Disc player, it is much less expensive to use a DAC in the video card than in a dedicated Laser Disc Digitizing box. (although i've never heard of such a beast)
LD is an analog format, that means that weather the DAC is in the LD-ROM drive (what ever that is) or in your capture card, you'll get similar quality. this is the exact same thing as VHS -> DVD, just with a different medium holding the analog data. (that doesn't break down with use)
unless this guy is planning on having a DVD of the true StarWars Trilogy (not this crap that lucas(s) put out in the 1990's) it just isn't worth the effort, and he should just buy the DVD releases of his LD films.
yeah! thats the one! First they came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up,
because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up,
because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up,
because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.
doesn't the saying go something like: When they came for Jack, I said nothing because I wasn't involved. When they came for Jill, I said nothing because I wasn't involved. When they came for me, there was nobody left to say anything for me.
isn't that a great paraphrased poem? afaik, it's from nazi germany.
Name a single thing that Ashcroft has done that the public wanted. afaik, everything he has done has been to advance his own agenda. just listen to his 9/11 commission opening statements - he was trying to push the patriot act from the day he took office!
If iTMS gets big enough, Apple WILL drop support for MP3 and unencoded AAC files from the iPod because that would force people to get all of their portable music from iTMS.
at which point in time, a significant portion of the iPod market will goo elsewhere when they outgrow their current 'Pod.
DDL = 2 DVI signals on a single port. this card has 2 of these ports. so in theory, it could drive *four* 23 inch displays from it's "2" DVI ports:D
i was personally expecting to see 4 DVI ports on one of theses cards, as they do take up one of the PCI slots as well. i was somewhat disappointed when i took a peek behind and saw it set up with the normal apple elegance when they could have taken the easy rout i was expecting.
why do i get the impression that the above interview was with one of those stupid chat bot's that give generic answers based on key words in the question?
Thus far, the changes have been trivial; but since nobody called Apple to task for arbitrarily changing licensing terms ex post facto, they'll feel free to do so again in the future.
is that why the songs that i purchased with iTunes 4 say FairPlay Version 1 in the info, while songs purchased with iTunes 4.5 say FairPlay Version 2? that indicates to me that these songs have a different set of restrictions (number of burns/playlist, and number of authorized computers)
yeah, i'm replying to myself... i just noticed that i forgot a few zeros on that GibiByte figure....
(wow this suit sure got hot quickly)
Correction:
1000000 Bytes == 1 true GigaByte
1024000 Bytes == some bastard child of a KibiByte and a MegaByte
1073741824 Bytes == 1 true GibiByte
(look it up)
*downs flame retarding suite*
That'd make you the first Human Giraffe.
no it wouldn't
well.. since it *is* DarWINE shouldn't it be something like
:)
DarWINE ain't really Windows In a Native Environment?
it's ironic that you should mention Data in your sig.. because Data pwned the Enterprise using the method mentioned in the grandparrent
*runs away screaming, refusing to acknowledge that he is a Star[Trek | Wars | Gate] fan*
That would make it something other than Scan Line Interleave would it not?
:D)
this sounds more like Asymmetric Split Screen Rendering - look i just made a new acrinum to go with the new technology! ASSR!
(but since it has ASS... we'll call it... Nonsymmetric Split Screen Rendering - NSSR

Noone interviews Adam West!
He's Bruce Wane, he's like the richest person in the world ^W^W Gotham! what's wrong with paying $30 just to get into the city?
if it was *any* company other than real (and maybe sony) i *would* be cheering them on. yes, this does include microsoft.
real and sony have a history of doing stupid stuff to their consumers, there fore they do not deserve my support.

They did not try licence [sic] the technology from apple, they hacked it.
uh.. real *DID* try to license it from apple.. apple turned them down.
I have a remote.... i don't know why everyone is griping...

you misunderstood. iTunes on Mac OS X uses 50 MiB on my 1 GiB of RAM. my commend is that the *port* is a major RAM hog.
:D
by the way, that XML database is the reason apples iLife integrates so well.
so... what's FOobar? or are you referring to foobar?
i'd almost be willing to bet good money that a full half of that memory use is iTunes. the windows port is quit the RAM hog. or so i've heard.
There's nothing worse than changing the character in midstream
Like Daniel Jackson? or Jack O'Neil? (different actors in the movie that started it all)
