The first version of Myst was done in Hypercard. yes and no.
the 1st version of Myst was done with Hypercard, but they hacked it up so much that if you didn't know what the transitions looked like you wouldn't know that it was hypercard. for example they added color and quicktime, which took _years_ for the shipping version of HyperCard to gain, and even then, transitions didn't work with apples color hack.
funny, i remapped my keyboard, but never stuck with Dvorak (i know, but i'm still slow with Dvorak!) so i type in QWERTY on a Dvorak mapped keyboard. (i've gotten used to my "home" keys being C and Y;) )
well... theres Halo (it's about to become a series...) and.... MachWorrior.... uh...Age of Empires.. and um...Halo... OOOHH and Marathon... wait no, that was bungie pre-Microsoft... um... they've still got Halo and MW though:)
don't think so. The easiest way to fix BIND to ignore wildcard records is to simply make wildcards unrecognizable. Frankly, I can't think of a reason why DNS supported it in the first place.
i could go on, but i'll just get to the point. They are setup so that the DNS for *.ForgottenNewbies.com points to 64.142.15.200, and then i just have the individual site set up in apache. on top of that when someone wants a single file from my server in irc i can give them a url like i.love.long.long.long.urls.ForgottenNewbies.com/fi le:)
if you force me to tweek my DNS records (my ISP charges per change - yeah i know i should just run my own copy of BIND, but i don't want to worry about the uptime of a pair of DNS servers) i shall be forced to send you the bill:P
If you skip setting up standard users (which most grandmas would do) you can ONLY log in as root. Same goes for every distro I've used (Slackware, Debian, Redhat, Suse, etc...) while Mac OS X, isn't a linux distro, it is a bunch of preparatory stuff on top of BSD, and it forces you to create an admin account before you can use it for the 1st time. (think of it as a sane root - it asks for passwords every time you try to do anything rootlike and then sudo's the command) It then disables the standard root account that you can later enable if you wish.
It's not an attack on linux it's a fact of who is using the system and who is setting it up? IF it's the same person they are significantly more likely to use ROOT. This is the reason Linux has almost zero likelihood of being successful on the Desktop, it requires conceptual understanding of security and the how and why you should(n't) run as root. Grandma doesn't care. some distro should do it the Mac OS X way, no root, just access to sudo.
Plus, most users of computers learnt the Windows-Way. All Admin, All the time. mac users seem to be adapting pretty well. that isn't to say that some aren't, but a lot are.
If we could just get rid of the hackers there would be no security issues. BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!!! lol, j/k;) riiiiiiigggghhhhtttt....
i'd been using a fork of that project, DoublCommand for a while, but when the removed the shift-delete feature, i left the old version installed.
i was suffering after i reinstalled my OS a month ago. thanks!:D

well the educational price, is only $1800, but who says that you need a powermac for school? unless your doing high end science, i'd say that an iBook at $949 is probably what you want (based on the limited information you gave me);)
Hey, it's not like Apple haven't had production problems before now (*cough* G4 cube) so maybe this is smart anyway.
if by "production problems" you mean "didn't know when to stop," then yes, apple had problems with the production of the PM G4 Cube.;)
i wish that apple had properly priced that line! if you had a choice of $2000 for a non-expandable though small brick computer, or $1500 for an expandable G4 tower at the same speed, which would you do?
ah, but you can install liberty or Phoenix on it and play a good chunk of the GBA game library :)
and and i would that 200 MHz CPU would capable of pulling off a GBA emulator, or at least a GBC (but i don't know for sure)
and what's the zodiac? mashed potatoes?
sounds like the Orange PC that you could use in a Mac (although it didn't put the mac on hold...)

now all they need to do is make it an MP3 player
cool.
:D
it still doesn't find me
it's probably because i only have a cell phone...
funny... all i got was the (out of date) resume posted on my website
Part of the beauty of ROM images is that they don't wear out like our favorite cartidges and consoles do.
But with the right equipment and know-how, you can make a rom image from the used cartridge.
and what is your time worth to you?
if i had mod points i don't know if i'd mod you insightful or funny...
make that 78,001 suspected terrorists! questioning how the government decides who is a terrorist makes you an obvious potential terrorist!

when they bought bungie, the announcement was pretty much that MS would be taking a hands off approach.
:\
but i agree, we'll see...

that looks cool... does it do reverse DNS as well?
:D
i might have to move my DNS
and if you RTFP you would see this quote:

are you trying to make my life and that of every other domain name leaser who runs mutiple web sites on one server hard?
i le :)
:P
have a look at DNS for images.ForgottenNewbies.com, board.ForgottenNewbies.com, etc.

my favorite bug would be when an ant colony decided to move into an iBook :)
One problem with changing the user-agent string is that I am afraid that people will change that permanently and never look back.
It is good to change on a site-by-site basis if the person is having a problem (only after emailing webmaster@, obviously...).
it _IS_ on a site by site basis, and ontop of that, it's on a session by session basis.
anyone know what the name/artist for the music tracks in that trailer are?
:D

*warning! incoming game!*
i'd do that too, if it didn't cost more to get it.
sweet!
