with everyone and there sister running for the gig, what makes you think you have the slightest chance of winning?
i don't mean to sound negative or anything, it's just that i see high profile names like Arnold Swartzenager and Larry Flint over powering everyone else, just because they happen to be in the public eye a hole hell of a lot more then Georgy Russell.
and do you think that the current federal government would let the states organize to the point were they call such a convention? i think we are already past the point of no return on that one....
i dunno, i use an HP 48GX on my Clie and and the only problem i have with it is that it has to load every time i start it. - 20-40 sections are wasted every time!
now if only i could beam the software from my physical HP 48GX....:\
the method i like is that if you get the ramps just right the guy will jump up into the air and you can get the truck to hit him, realy cool visiauly, but you don't get meny points that way. launching him over the wall is fun too:D
umm, i think you got them backwords, FCP is the powerfule hard package, premiere is the easy, limmted package that needs After Effects if you want to do anything more then a simple cut (yes i exaderated a little, but then it appears that you did too)
the full quote goes CPU performance in your computer product may vary from specifications under the following conditions: use of certain external peripheral products use of battery power instead of AC power use of certain multimedia games or videos with special effects use of standard telephone lines or low speed network connections use of complex modeling software, such as high end computer aided design applications use of computer in areas with low air pressure (high altitude >1,000 meters or >3,280 feet above sea level) use of computer at temperatures outside the range of 5C to 35C (41F to 95 F) or >25C (77F) at high altitude (all temperature references are approximate).
i like the battery power, and software bits myself...
"yeah, the CPU runs at 2.8 GHz, but as soon as you load an OS*, it reduces itself to 1.7 GHz"
*some people would say that Windows XP counts as "multimedia games or videos with special effects"
what do you people do to your notebooks?!? (they get to hot to actually go in the lap:P ) my TiBook has made contact with the floor twice, and both times it was a 3 foot drop! (slit off the bed) the only time i've done any real damage to the thing is when i had it stacked precariously on-top of a bunch of stuff on my bed and it slid, very slowly into the corner of my headboard leaving a nice dent in the back of the screen, it still works fine though.
although i do have to agree with the computer in book bag comment, i am rough on my book bag, weather my TiBook is in it or not...:)
Apple hasn't improved their font management at all since they added the font folder back in OS 8 (or was it 9?), it was due for an overhaul. it was System 7.0 (or maybe 7.1) and i agree the OS X system needed an overhaul, but the classic system worked just fine.
its a shame you are pretty much stuck with aqua on OSX though, so although you get a beautiful environment, you have to stick it out, unless someone can recommend a tool for theming to me ( I never found one ).
It's surprising how many people believe Apple doesn't sell an office suite
AppleWorks 6 qualifies as an office suite, as much as Microsoft Works 4 qualifies as an office suite, sure it does the job, but not very well, and it's old too.
hell, TextEdit (included with Mac OS X) is almost as good as the AW WP module (and it's source code is included with the Mac OS X Developers Tools!)
free PCI slots are all well and good, but if you can't find an SATA card with an mac OpenFirmware compatible BIOS, your SOL, the card is uesless..
after doing some googling i have come to the conclusion that there are exactly zero serial ATA cards that work in macs.
the situation isn't much better for parallel ATA, i can count the ATA/133 controlers that work with macs on one hand, and they are all funky hacks that pretend to be SCSI controlers! (if i look at the hardware profile of my tower, i have 3 SCSI hard drives in it, thanks to my $100 controller (it feels so nice to be a mac user, i think i need to bend over a little farther though....)
um... all UMA macs and newer (those with AGP) support this, however it had a bug that could erase your hard drive! Apples responce was an OS update that spesificly disables this feature!
hmmm sounds kinda like new macs having USB 2.0...disabled

Windows 3.1.1 runs fine on my Pentium 4, the problem is that i can't find any software to run on it....
when placing coins in the T3 pinball machine, brace yourself for a 1 in 5 chance of extremely load noises.

you have been warned
um... the educational price for FCP is $499 anyway

I've not seen it in action, but Expose....
now you can see it in action (quicktime required, blah, blah, blah)
hell, look at the 1st macintosh, that thing only had 128KiB of RAM, and it ran well for it's time! (i haven't seen a mac that boot faster)
its a shame you are pretty much stuck with aqua on OSX though, so although you get a beautiful environment, you have to stick it out, unless someone can recommend a tool for theming to me ( I never found one ).
you must not have looked hard enough...
UltraSPARC = Workstation
Mac = Personal Computer
X86 = Personal Computer
any questions?
Sorta like running XP in 2K mode
you can get WindowsXP to run in 2 KibiBytes of ram?!
or
