Except for how they're launching WotLK without the actual Lich King. He'll be patched in before the NEXT expansion comes out.
I haven't seen this anywhere, but even if he isn't patched in on day one, they have stated from the beginning that it would take a whole raid full of 80s to take Arthas (you know him.. the Lich King.. undead guy on the frozen throne with Frostmourne). Considering the length of time it would take to gear up raids full of 80s, patching him later is a smart move. Besides... it is the SAME THING they did with Kael'thas Sunstrider in patch 2.4 when the introduced the Sunwell Plateau. You see... Blizzard has been really good about making content patches as well as bug patches, so anyone who has played WoW for more than a minute knows this.
If they want to tell a story in the next expansion like they did in BC with the sunwell patch (a new zone, changes in Silvermoon because M'uru was taken away) they have to patch him later in the expansion.
They said they wanted to get rid of attunement quests, so there is only one way to force a certain order of the raid instances: Open them up later in the patch.
In my opinion they should have done the same with BC instead of releasing slightly:) buggy raid instances which slowed down the raid progress.
They also said they wanted, that defeating a boss had consequences in the game world. There were plans like this in the sunwell patch (defeat the T5+-Bosses to open the gates for the sunwell), but in the end these changes were discarded.
I would like it very much, if the players had to help to conquer the final zone, such that in the end we can try to defeat Arthas. I liked the development on the Isle of Quel'danas very much. So I can imagine, that they could do a big amount of ingame story-telling in this way. So that in the end Northrend is a place where the undead and the lich king have been driven back a little bit, compared to the beginning of the expansion.
1. The place where the game is developed makes no difference; the law applies to all games marketed and sold in Germany. They could move to Mars and that wouldn't make any difference. No, the new law which some politicians propose would also forbid to make such games in germany.
I also belong to the Brainage crowd:-)
The other games I have are: Castlevania Dawn of Sorrows and Animal Crossing.
Brainage ist great for practising on the trip to the university. Animal Crossing works better with sound, but I do not want to annoy the other passengers on the bus. Castlevania? I think I need more free time for that.
1) Use white/yellow text on dark background if you can, it is easier to read.
No, please not. If you want me to have a terrible headache with your audience use yellow on a blue/black background. One program which you could use to create slides from TeX-files had this as a default.
Another point: Don't use small red, blue and green (as in 00FF00 etc.) lines. Especially the green ones are very hard to see.
No, they checked every credit card account in germany. (Not the police, the credit card companies.)
Credit cards are not as universal as in the US, but on the other hand our other money transaction schemes work quite good. Your employer puts your income directly on your "Girokonto" (the usual account for getting money and transferring it to other accounts), your landlord may withdraw the rent from your account (if you agree to this) and so on. Cheques are more or less not used.
In Germany it is called Lebenslauf which is more or less a translation of Curriculum Vitae. So, no Latin in this case.
I would say that the grandparent meant Europe=UK in this case, which is quite funny, because, as far as I know, Europe=(Europe without the British Island) for many British people.
Just a question from a german;-)
Why do you call those pet projects "pork" or "pork barrels"? It seems that there is a historical connection to a precendent of this kind which had to do with pork. But what exactly happened?
I just reread them. There is a nice edition with the first to books as one book and the second two also as one book, i bought it, because I wanted to have the English version, I first read them in German. Because of Simmons' books I started to read the two poems by Keats, but for me it was too hard to read (not because of the language, but poems are just harder to read than books).
There are also two new (1-2 years old) SF-books by Simmons: Ilium and Olympos. This time it is a mixture of the Ilias and Odysee, on Mars!, together with some robotlike beings living on the moons of Jupiter or Saturn (I think it was Jupiter), some "post-humans" on Earth and some observers of the events on Mars. A friend of the main narrator for the plotline on Mars is called Nightenhelser (just like the college, where Sol Weintraub worked). I liked them very much.
Oddly, my wrist pain went away too. I used to get achy wrists after a long day.
This not so odd. In the book "Pain Free" there are some exercises against problems with your hands and wrists. Most of those are putting the shoulder in its correct position. In my case they worked great. I think by swimming you were doing similar movements and so helping your shoulders and wrists.
I am not the original poster but I would think he means the execution of Eddard Stark. At least it did disappoint me, but on the other hand you now know that not even a main character with his own chapter headings is save.
Although I never tried their recipes, you might
want to have a look at savingdinner.
Or try at least the sample menu.
You get an email with the menu for the week
plus a shopping list. The main disadvantage is that the menu is for 2 or 6 servings, not ideal
for a single.
If you print a photo with a laser printer it will look printed as pictures in books, it will not look like a photo. The quality with my Minolta Magicolor
2350 is quite good.
The point is, there should NEVER be any editing of articles by anonymous people, or for that matter, any non-expert people.
I disagree in this point. A non-expert can correct grammatical or orthographical errors. And it is easier to correct them right when you stumble upon them than it is to send an email to the right expert for this article and ask him to correct the mistakes.
You should look for Aleph-One, which is a new implementation for the Marathon 2-engine.
And there are also the files for Marathon 1 on
Aleph one available for free.
Have a look at http://source.bungie.org/
A link to the Marathon-1 files is in one of the boxes on the right side.
Why do you think of text as something visual?
Texts can also be read aloud. For example in
church there are passages of the bible read
by one person and all the others are listening.
Or in the theater: The plays exists as texts,
or the lyrics for a song. You can even buy books
as audiobooks, but there is only the text read
aloud by some person on it?
Now if we could get the Germans to put more than only one outlet in a room, they'd have the perfect system.
That is a problem of the architects. In our new
house we have enough outlets, for example in my
room (bed, 2 computers, stereo...) i have:
1 near the door (free, for the vacuum cleaner)
1 near my bed (for the lamp, and my radio,
I have an extension cord that makes 3 new outlets)
1 near the computer table (again with an extension cord, this one has a switch)
1 near my desktop (for the lamp)
we also have plugs for the satellite tv in 7
rooms and for our home network we have them in
6 rooms.
But for this my parents had to convince the architect that it is really necessary for us.

If you speak german, you should read the german version, it sounds like it was translated by Babelfish or worse.

You forgot to take the square of 4/3
This one is the right way:
(3/3a)^2 + (4/3 a)^2 = 20 ^2
since 3^2+4^2=5^2 we get
(5/3 a)^2 = 20 ^2, so
20 = 5/3 a and a=12.
So: height = 12, width = 16.

Some time ago I found the mp3s of Diablo II at Blizzard. I really like the ones of the expansion set and some of the outtakes.
There is also an SVG-Plugin for Safari, I do not know by whom, but I remember downloading one. So OS X-Users should be covered as well.
The Angband-page moved some time ago. The new URL ist www.thangorodrim.net. Another really good Angband-page is http://angband.oook.cz/.
I think the video for the "Dream Twister"-secret project was much worse. Or the one for the citizen's defense force.
In my case it depends. I can drink a whole liter of Cola and go to bed after that. If I want to stay awake I have to drink green tea.
That is true. But then there are also the reserves for currency fluctuations.
This increase by around 20% comes from the sales tax etc.

And with Braille blind people can read, too.
