Sorry, you're about 2 years too late for this particular gripe. People said the same thing about Metroid Prime, and it turned out perfect. It's a metroid game, and I have no doubt Metroid Hunters will be as well.
They thought of this. you can switch the functions of the D Pad and the ABXY pad. They are the exact same shape, so you would hold the stylus in your left hand, and hold the device in your right.
Indy in this case means Independently owned. They are very liberal, and like all intelligent, well informed people, they are very rabidly anti-Republican.
Considering that 90% of the US media is owned by 5 companies (all 5 of which are EXTREMELY right wing), Indymedia and other sites like it are becomming increasingly important -- which is why they were shut down, I'm sure.

10 Miles isn't anything special. We use normal 802.11b and reach about 10 miles now, we just put a flat panel antenna and a 100mw Cisco 350 / 200mw Engenius bridge / 100 mw Smartbridge bridge at the client location. Simple.
I suspect WiMAX will just cause us interference headaches, although since we can take 802.11b (what, a few hundred feet) adn stretch it to 10 miles, I wonder what we'll be able to do with WiMAX.
I live in Tieton, WA (near Yakima, WA, which is somewhat close to M. St. Helens); it's very grey out right now, but that's because of clouds I believe (it's certainly too early for ash.)
It's possible that camera is just pointing skyward and seeing a blue tinted overcast day... but I don't think so.

You are not running the proper Chinese internet filters. You need to immediately report to a Chinese prison for your pre-trial incarceration. Don't worry, in 5-10 years your trial should come around, and I'm quite confident in your.. well, China doesn't have any free lawyers for defendants. But I'm sure you'll do fine.
Welcome to "globalization". The scenario I just mentioned is every bit as ethical and legal as what's going on with that poor Australian kid.
They've done 2 MMORPGs before. 1 of which has lasted 5 years without any real presence in a store, another one which is still better looking than any MMORPG out today.
I don't think anyone can seriously question if they have the experience to make a good MMORPG.
Being a Dragon Warrior fan, I distinctly remember reading about a downloadable, time limited, Dragon Quest 1 demo for the Famicom in Japan. IIRC it even had a touch of online play.
If *anyone* deserves credit for online console gaming, it's Nintendo. That's why they have a patent for it.
Congratulations, you just proved that you haven't played Disgaea. If you had, you'd have already preordered Phantom Brave.;)
Yes, this is me saying that you're not "in-the-know". But come ON. What kind of RPG gamer are you? Disgaea was the biggest suprise hit of last year, so big that even Atlus, who NEVER re-prints games, had to reprint it. It plays similar to Final Fantasy Tactics, but actually has a decent story. It's a comedy game, and the attacks and stuff are over the top, but that's definately intentional and very much part of it's charm. You can beat the game at level 50 or so. The level cap is 9999. Higher if you consider transmigration and "stored" levels.
Phantom Brave is the same genre -- SRPG -- but with a ton of new features and tweaks. And the story is supposed to be one of the best out in years.
Basically Phantom Brave has every gameplay feature of Disgaea and every gameplay of La Pucelle that Disgaea left out AND a ton of new twists, turns, and features. Like titles, which are similar to the "rank" ("Good for nothing", "Genius", etc) in Disgaea when you transmigrated people. Except these titles and be put on players, random dungeons, and items, and all have differing effects depending on it. And can all be changed on the fly.
There's a ton more, but this isn't the place to rant about how awesome the game is. Just, please belive me when I say that Disgaea and the other Nippon Ichi SRPG titles are something special, because they are. Simply put, NIS is the new master of the SRPG genre.:)
You know, this article was "broken" to the gaming community a week ago, and we rather quickly figured out (someone called Gamespot or Nintendo and asked directly, IIRC) that it was the patent for the Nintendo 64 disk drive addon. As such, it's really old news, and proven false news at that.
But it does make the random rantings of people about how Nintendo's panicing, how they have too many Patent lawyers, how netcraft confirms Nintendo is dying, etc rather funny.
Now, what IS slightly newsworthy is that they decided to re-up the patent. Which may mean that they're going to use it in the Nintendo Revolution console. But then again, when have you heard of a company voluntairily giving up IP?
Not to derail, but what is up with TonsHardware? for a long time I heard they were one of the best review places on the net, then about a year ago or so I started hearing rumours that they were Intel and Nvidia shrills now and not to be taken overly seriously. Been hearing that off and on ever since then.
I donno if I'd call them that, but, looking at some of their reviews of the newer AMD and ATI offerings, they seemed willing to "go the extra mile" in bending over backwards to excuse Intel and Nvidia's failings when compared to the new performance kings.
The only reason this EE was ever released is because of the new AMD 64 chips. AMD was about to steamroll right past Intel and they had to have SOMEWAY to take away some of their fire. It's served it's purpose, but didn't really work, so it's no surprise they're dropping the line now.

I installed Hare and enabled the various video options. Then I went into Doom 3. Holy crap.
It made a huge difference. No more jittery lag when mobs appear, no graphics lag when waving the camera around too fast, etc.
The only problem is that I suspect the game is running TOO fast now. The chainsaw "feels" faster to rev up and animate. Going down an elevator I could have sworn took a while last time only took a few seconds this time, etc.
I suspect that Hare runs on the same principle as GEAR, the old MMORPG eploit. Basically what Gear would do is force a program, like, UO, EQ, AO, etc, to run faster than it should by speeding up the clock timer. The games, which had delays and waits built in to slow the player down, suddenly didn't have to wait, and ran a ton faster.
I also highly suspect that Hare automatically puts the current active program on the highest or second highest priority. This would also explain why Doom3 gets so much more FPS.
I'm gonna go play more doom 3 as.. er, research, ya, research to test this theory out. I suspect that playing during a cut-scene is going to be interesting.
Well, that, and Nintendo's latest cash cow is emulated ports of older games. For example. NES games on GBA, NES roms in a EMU in Animal Crossing, etc. Of course they're gonna put up legal loopholes so Sony et all can't use their vast library of games from the 1980s to... er, wait, nevermind.
No, actually, they wouldn't mind you doing that. Sending it through the mail would take TIME.
You see, the idea here is that you won't be able to re-broadcast NFL games to people living in the same town as that game.
This is more important than you might expect, because unless the game sells out, the NFL refuses to let anyone see the game on TV in that area. So your choices are to watch the game at the park, or not at all.
Oh, but they're gracious -- if you throw money at them and they can't accept it, they'll LET you watch the game on TV. Nevermind that your tax dollars are paying for that Stadeum to be there.
THAT is why this is so screwed up. They want TiVO to help sell tickets to the home games by cutting off access to the games that aren't selling out.
We need to get active, instead of bitching and whining on Internet forums, and start fighting back against idiots who are trying to make the government enforce their business models.
IF I understand it correctly, the program detects idle-time and stops taking screenshots. In other words, when this fuckwit was at his PC, he was playing solitare, or surfing the web. He wasn't doing shit for his department.
I've NEVER seen a mainstream, or even fringe, publication mention Bittorrent.
Actually, take that back. Reutgers Online, trying to do what CNN did to Napster, did a huge article where they linked to suprnova about 5 times talking about free movies and other downloads. THAT mentioned Bittorrent, but only in passing.
But yeah, haven't heard much about BT in the mainstream media at all.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but, aren't you not allowed to take a GPLed piece of software then re-liscense it in a more restrictive manner?
Otherwise, couldn't I just download Linux, rename it/make it into a commercial product, and then say "well, thanks for the code, but I'm re-liscencing it as my own liscense."
Please Nintendo, make it stop. You're about to become the next Sega as far as home consoles go. Portables? The PSP may wipe the floor with you..but you'll come back on the basis of price yet again.
Considering that Developers haven't even gotten final tech specs of the PSP yet, nor are there real time devkits (current Devkits include emulators that run at 1FPS -- both these combined mean they can't tell if they're works in progress will run decently on the finalized hardware) I would say it's a bit too early to say that Sony's portable will be out-powering the DS.

Yes, it has the same adapter port the GBA does. All GBA accessories are compatable. You can hook it up to a GC and it acts like a GBA.
I wager it will detect current generation flash carts and prevent them from running, so amateur development might be stifled.
