    If you replaced the brain a bit at a time I believe you would not be the same person afterwards because your memories would be lost. These are not maintained as a response to inputs.

    I came to say the same, but what’s confusing to me is that ST canon suggests transporters actually move the atoms rather than converting them to energy/information and reconstituting it at the other end. I’m no physicist but I’m pretty sure this would not violate the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

    Of course this would make things like Kirk and Riker being doubled impossible, but I suppose some disblief can be suspended ;)

    I’m curious how loss of power would destroy already-fabbed wafers. Do they need to be kept in conditions that require power to maintain or something?

    If she had waited longer before accepting the new position she would then not be using these precious secrets? That makes no sense.

    I usually use image search to find an image to hotlink in Slack or a web forum. The View Image button would show you whether the image had hotlink protection. Viewing the image by right-clicking does not.

    I guess you’re too adult to have thought of that.

    I agree entirely, but also believe that this move by Salon is a good one. At least now people will have the choice to have ads, to mine, or to leave. Choices are good. Maybe some of the people who would have just closed the page will now mine instead. Win-win.

    So the solution to the problem of being outhacked by adversaries is to “secure US crypto and networks”. Sounds easy, I wonder why they didn’t think of that?
