When i first started work i was happy enough to just be able to use the net all day. Of course as time went on i realised i coudnt do my job with out it. But it came in handy for those many weeks where i had nothing to do and i ran out of futurama episodes.
Linus is Gates. The person you see round at shows is just a double. Bill decided to make linux because of the guilt of years of making incomplete and buggy software. Bill is big into Karma and decided that this would be the ultimate way of keeping himself out of hell or at the very least easing his karma debt.
Hmmmm... no real drama's. I discovered once that someone spilt madori in my keyboard when i got sick of the sticking keys and had a look. It didnt cause any damage, but i prolly would have it the drink was spilt in the old Amiga i use to have.
Year years now video cards have had multi head/monitor displays and matrox has lead the way, even unvieling a tri head display? Could a similar set up be used or something else be devised as to allow one of these matrox cards to be used on 3 different X sessions allowing 3 users to use not just the same CPU but the same GPU. I'd assume that special drivers would need to be written? Now that would be awsome and i think a big money spinner for linux and matrox if they could do it.
i just finished writing an essay on this for my professional issues class. Dang, we could of used this? If our topic was different. Ie we investigated the impact of the circumvention laws on inhouse development.
Through this research i've found a dislike for the US-Aust FTA but, all is not bad. Things have to be passed through the government yet and there are provisions in the FTA that allow us to do what we want if it is for the good of the country.
hmmm i've been sitting here trying to think what it would be usful for, but i realy cant think of anything. PHP hasnt really goten out of the web space much except for PHPGTK. Maybe these two projects could work together and do something? Maybe if there was a client side support for PHP in browsers this would be more usful, but appart from some small idea's people have mentioned, i dont see it being HUGE. But it is interesting.
I think what the poster was trying to get as it that AmigaOS and its hardware isnt as bad as people have been making out. It's not the latest and greatest, but for heaven sakes, its a hobby OS. Although it is still used in certain industries, such as QLD public transport system and it other areas.
Everyone knows that AmigaOS wont over take linux or windows, at least not in the short term, but it can hold its own. It does have a user base, it does have updated hardware and software, and it does have a pretty good developer base.
Seems like just in time, hopfuly some future articles will give some insight into how to get ISAPNP sounds cards to work. For some reason my ISAPNP OPL3SA2 cards can not be found when i either compile support into the kernel or into loadable modules...
seems like a few other people have this problem. Does anyone know the solution? Will i have to write the addresses of all the ports manualy and switch off ISAPNP for OPL3SA2?
Actualy i think on some level, copying music does lead to greater expenditure. I wouldnt say that it leads to greater expenditure on a nation or world wide scale but there are people that will copy music before even having heard it, just because its free.
I've done this several time and it lead me to purchase the next albums by those artists.
Although i'll admit, when i was younger, this free music thing was awsome to me and i'd copy things left right and center. I even resorted to buying a CD once, copying it and returning it to the store for another CD which i liked. Criminal, yes i know.
But theres several sides to the copywrite story, but each and everytime people only seem to mention one of them. Here i've mentioned two and im sure there are others.
i just installed (bit the bullet) the 2.6 kernel via backports and well.. the system loaded but i've gota compile my own to get it the way i like it and fully functional...
also, whats interesting, i can use 2.4 along side it! So thats fantastic. And the only manual thing i had to do, besides apt-get is put an initrd=/initrd.img (which is a symlink i had to make to/boot/initrd-2.6.0-bla) in my lilo.conf.
She's just handing them out like candy these days!
Yes, but that doesnt mean that he hasnt deserved it. A lot of people may not like Bill Gates but he has done a lot for IT even if he didnt lay the foundations.
Is this the best people can come up with when they think about technology of the future? I for one think its rediculous. Infact the only pleasure i'd get from having the TV turned on (and being a window) is that it stops the freaking harsh Australian sun getting through.
But then again, in the winter, you want that. TV in a window is a very stupid idea indeed. Just give me a normal flat tv that i can hook up to the puter and i'll be happy.
As far as i remember, a solid is matter that has particles (what are particles? groups of atoms?) tightly together. Liquid has its particle's not so tlightly together and...
Infact i dont know wtf im talking about. Could someone explain this?
So open source is literally infecting MS Windows :) So this is how we plan to take down the empire?

wasnt there a patent turned down not long ago for icons because it was deemed to similar to buttons or served the same purpose...
Isnt clicking on a mouse even more like this? If a patent for icons can not be held, how can this be?
Also, how can microsoft get a patent for this when its been in use in Operating system for years... Apple and AmigaOS comes to mind.

Is this the before or after its been consumed?
T2 was edited with an Amiga, not sure what kinds though! I think an A4000? Maybe VideoToaster?
I only saw the first page, but thats one of the nicest web pages i've seen done by engineers...
Plus who says you cant created good webpages with nothing except a text editor of your choice?

Now to compile and see how well it really works
for those who dont know, you've been able to get a back port of 2.6 on woody for the last month (almost).
:)
so go get it, and tell me how it will effect my surfing, emailing, mp3ing and general userish behavour on my P2 400 128RAM...
Go on, get to it!
Okay, who's been feeding 2.6 speed?

more success for NASA... Did i miss the slashdot posting about hell freezing over?
If Aerogel is that good at insulation, screw the candel, i'll just rely on the body heat of myself and others :/
What computer like device didnt have more power than the IBM PC in the mid 80's :P

Does NetBSD have a mostcot? If so, i assume its the BSD daemon? In which case, does new logo imply new mascot?
