The USA has a (class/political) color inversion. In the rest of the world the color Red represents the working class (Communists, socialists, Labour Party etc) And the Blue is the color of the conservative upper classes. (often refered to as Tories) I don't know why Republicans are Red and Democrats are Blue. And another thing, having your elections on a Tuesday doesn't make sense either. You would get more participation if they were held on a Saturday, when more people are not at work. (Of course that may be deliberate since the Republicans don't want a lot of people to vote.

"Honestly, don't. The chances of an actual emergency occurring during an emergency test are infinitesimal."
This may be true for a natural disaster, but for a decade or more one possible national emergeancy could be a terrorist attack. Since this test has been given enough publicity there may be terrorists (locall and international) that want to take advantage of the opportunity.

I don't see any need to change. - although the 3 letter filename extension to determine the type of file is getting a bit long in the tooth. (I was using an OS and filesytem in the late 80's that didnt have that problem.
When I was a lad at school the teacher would write on a blackboard with chalk. I assume this is refered to these days as a chalkboard - maybe the term blackboard is politically incorrect.
(I am sure that they would not be allowed to throw chalk at the children who were misbehaving either these days)
"Most TVs from the past 10 years have either SCART or composite video/audio in"
SCART still exists? That must be one of the most horrible connector standards ever.
I had a 1081 with SCART, (in 1986 it came with the Amiga 1000 )and the early 1084's also had it. Duct tape was the most common solution to try to keep it connected to the monitor

"expensive ones will cost much more than a minimum wage laborer."
And of course the whole point of illegals is you don't have to pay them minimum wage.

Even ordinary criminals could use it as a cover.
