    Obama can only stop the pipeline crossing the border from Canada. If they want to build it from ND to the Gulf refineries he couldn't do anything about it.

    But they should be building refineries in North Dakota, thats where the oil is, (and they could be fueled by natural gas which is also in abundance.
    Why send the oil all the way to the gulf, when the refineries there might have to shut down at times due to hurricanes (more likely due to global warming these days) and then ship it back north as refined product. Refine it in ND and then the Midwest can have sheaper gas.

    We don't need no stinking CA tar sand oil.

    Anyway the oil train that blew up was hit by another freight train that derailed due to the extreme cold.

    Since it was nowhere near North Korea I think that can be ruled out. Of course Vietnam or China could have shot it down, but the latter seems unlikely.

    I am sure they have boats out analysing the oil slicks that were found tto see if they could be from the plane.

    There is a big difference between what the jet pack can do, and what the armored suits of the "Mobile Infantry" could do. For a start they had nuclear power, so could keep flying for hours not minutes. And of course they were fighting in alien worlds, there were no civilians around to worry about collateral damage.

    The BBC should have a subscription for people in the rest of the world, so that we can watch the quality programmes they make online. I am sure this would be very popular, we wouldn't have to pay the cable companies for the higher monthly cost necessary to get BBC America.

    Or maybe Amazon can do a deal with the Beeb so we can get more British programs on Amazon Prime

    I thought they were already decommissioning the USS Enterprise (CVN65) which was the only ship in The Fleet that had really aging reactors.
    The Nimitz class had a newer design of reactor, which they only needed 2 of per ship.

    Anyway only a very small number of robots look as humanoid as C3PO, the "can't tell robots from humans" world as described by Asimov, Dick and others is a long way off, if ever
