    They were ysing inertial navigation systems in airliners back in the later 70's

    when Air New Zealand were flying scenic trops to Antarctica
    of course if someone transposed numbers when typing in the waypoints you could still run into

    I have poor vision, not quite legally blind, bjt certainly not good enough to drive.

    and my wife has epilepsy.

    I walk to work (1 mile) except in bad weather (like rain or extremecold.)
    Fortunately right now its my night off.

    The United States of America has been a country for a lot longer than the European Union.

    100 years ago the Italians were fighting ob the same side as the French and British, against Germany and Austria
    Although a couple decades later they were on the same side as the Germans, until we invaded them.

    The Bears had a long enough range to reack much of the continental USA, (coming over the north pole) although since they didn.t have air-air refueling it would have been a 1 way trip
    and most would have been shot down
