Other good, or even great shows have come and gone (been cancelled mostly) Theres no other good SF shows being produced these days I don't think Matt Smith is as good as David Tennant (or Pertwee or Tom Baker) but he is way better than they guy they started the reboot with.
In order to become law this will have to pass in the House of Representatives. Did they bribe them as well. Note that the House has a Republican majority. Anybody know when it is scheduled for a vote in the House?
I know that if it does pass, I won't be voting for the senators and representatives that voted for this - ever again, regardless of their views on other issues. Once this comes into effect, I won't be buying stuff online, I will stock up on stuff before it comes into effect though, and after that date I will be using my disposable income to pay off my credit card.
I won't be buying more stuff locally than I now am.
"I do not know what is the limit of the "wireless spectrum" if there is any"
There is legal limits (controlled by the FCC)
There is technology limits
The atmospere absorbs some frequencies
There are practical limits - sure you can theoretically get lots of bandwidth in the X-Ray and gamma ray end of the spectrum, but do you really want one of those next to your ear?
"Unless you live in Russia or Syria, it's not, and shouldn't be, your problem."
I disagree - if you happen to be a country that is next to Syria (eg Turkey) then it could be your problem. They have already fired across the Turkish border.
And i am sure that one other of Syria's neighbours regards it as a problem, but if they are older missiles not an insurmountable one. Those missiles are likely to be "in HARMs Way"
"Unfortunately, the MPAA and similar organizations "
What has the Motion Picture Association Assholes got to do with books?
Anyway it should be up to the individual copyright holder (author or publisher) whether or not to allow the blind to have access to their works.Somehow I don't think Homer would mind
While we are talking of artificial limbs replacing real limbs, how about lasers in iach finger like Timothy Zahn's Cobra warriors
Theres a new book coming out next week - Cobra Slave but I haven't read it yet, I will wait for the final installment before downloading it.from Baen remeber if you want to save money on the monthly bundle you have to purchase before the 15th

Does Amazon currently charge sales tax (to customers in IN, and CA) on.mp3s Kindle Books and movies downloaded? For that matter do they charge sales tax (in those or other states that they have 'physical presence) on thier Prime membership subscriptions?
This will hurt Amazon. Once it goes into effect, and Amazon are charging me sales tax then I will stop buying from Amazon. Of course before it goes into efect I will max out my credit card and buy stuff in advance of it happening, since I won't be buying stuff after it is in effect I will be able to pay off my credit card.
I don't think they can force sellers outside of the USA to charge US state sales tax to their customers so I guess I will be buying some stuff 'offshore'
" It's simply not possible to get the density and frangibility required of a bullet in any material other than metal."
How about diamond? That should be hard and dense enoubh - maybe with carbon fiber fins to stabilize it in flight, smootbore barrel and a sabot (like a tank gun)
(I amnot saying this projectile could be #D printed, but it wouldn't show up on metal detector.
The reason US cars get fewer miles to the gallon is because they have bigger cars and smaller gallons
And the cars run on gas instead of petrol.> An uncle of mine converted his car to run on gas instead of petrol, and it did get fewer miles to the gallon but was still cheaper because gas was cheaper than petrol.
Unless of course something happens to us in the meantime. (We could be wiped out by a meteor impact, or a gamma ray burst, and we wouldn't be using any more oil or coal. (or a plague could wipe us out...)
Of course there is a good side - we could have a break through in fusion (or other technology that gives us lots of energy cheap) and then we wouldn't need oil either.
" There really wasn't much else."
There still isn't much else.

Conventional Car dealerships in Minnesota are trying to use a similar law to block sales of Teslas here too.
But users who don't exist will have to pay!
Just think of all the revenue they will get from The Toothfairy, Santa Claus, Martians, Klingons, Kzinti , Elves, Unicorns, and Honest Politicians
Mensa can use this as a 'What is the next number in the sequence' for their IQ test.

"Taxes are good. The government needs taxes to provide revenue so that it can spend on entitlement programs."
Sales taxes are bad, they hit the lower and middle class who spend all their money.
This particular measure hits the internet economy. People will stop guying stuff online.
It seems that the only way to get round this is to set up offshore, which will cost american jobs.

2015 hasn't happened yet - its still 2013 where I live.
You get lots of fries for that price

Its AC - the mean voltage should be zero

And there was a movie called the Secret of NIMH

"CO, NOx, SO2, Hg, soot and fly ash mostly."
And that is one reason why using natural gas for electric generation is better (cleaner) than coal.
It also puts less CO2 in the air per kwh than coal does. Some of the energy comes from the hydrogen in the hydrocarbons...
Rom is going to make a movie out of Quark's
I hope he got the Holosuite customers to sign the disclaimer forms

"Science hasn't been able to find the cause of CCD"
I thought that the cause of CCDs was local politicians wanting to be Big Brother, especially in the UK.
