You are completely right. Unfortunately this does not put mr Cohen in the clear. Remember that college kid who got sued by the RIAA for writing a program that would search LANs for computers sharing music? RIAA saw it as being just as damaging as something like Napster.
Doom3 does not use creative's app to determine if you are capable of using surround sound. Be sure to look in the windows audio settings found in the control panel and be sure that that is set to the speaker setup that you have.

If you can please give props to one particular boothbabe hired by your company named Amelia. She was quite the commando.
I don't recall them saying they would announce something "earth shattering" just something no one would ever expect. They ended up announcing that they are publishing The Matrix Online, which imo is doomed to failure. Sega would have had better luck announcing another console or that they had gotten back into the handheld market.
I read that as Indiana Jones Galileo Consortium. Now I consider myself as big an Indiana Jones fan as the next guy but that is just a weird title for a movie. Or maybe having to work today is getting to me.
At the local gamestop there is a huge stack of n-gages for $199 without rebates. This was last week. I don't think it is very popular with retailers:).
CMU, MIT, Georgia Tech, and the other big name robotic schools hold a competition every year that show cases just this; autonomous helicopters that can traverse a course without the aid of humans. They use onboard cameras and gps, just like this thing does. This is hardly a unique idea. I think what is special about it is that it is coming from a company (not a university) and that it works.
So 15.6% of Windows users subscribe while 19.3% of Linux users subscribe. What does that tell us? Nothing really. How many windows users are there versus Linux users? I suspect many more. This sounds like the dev noticed some unrelated figures and decided to use them as a reason to get posted on/..
Because it is one of the xbox's best games and will most likely still sell a lot more copies.
Once word gets out that you no longer have to buy an xbox to play it or that a better version is coming out for the pc, people won't buy the xbox version.
The last two books that I have read, one of which was recently mentioned here on/. called A Fire Upon The Deep by Vernor Vinge, were ebooks. Prior to that I had not read ebooks beyond what you can get off of gutenberg.net.
For a reader I used my old visor deluxe and weasel reader. I found the expierence very good.
Being able to store multiple books on a device that I would have been carrying with me anyway was definately convenient. The pda itself is also smaller than most books but the text was just as large (and it could be resized). So visibility was never a problem. And if I was in an area where there was low light I could always just turn on the back light.
My one complaint is cost. I expect ebooks to be cheaper than the their paper back counterparts. Especially since it doesn't feel like you are buying a tangible product that you can let friends borrow or stick on a shelf when you are done.
Or is the goal to make potential recruits realize that the military is not for them. The military "wastes" millions on people who think they want to join the military but later decide it isn't right for them. If those same people had instead played this game and saw, at least virtually, what the military was like then the game has paid for itself.
Nintendo is a game company while Sony just happens to make a large profit from games.
For nintendo it may not make much sense to pack a dvd player but for sony who also has a large stake in dvds it was a huge decision. An old article stated that when the ps2 first came out Sony was making more profits off of dvd sales that games from people (in japan) who would usually not be watching dvds but because they purchased the ps2 they were now able to.
It is a given that blizzard is going to work on diablo 3. perhaps roper and co left because they were tired of working on that type of game? there is no way they can make diablo 3 themselves, but I do look forward to what they will make.
But what happens when you decide you can't cut it in the gaming world? You are left with a trade school education that taught you how to press buttons in a certain order to accomplish a specific task.
In the end design, art and programming aren't determined by how much you paid to learn it but by your talent, which if it isn't natural comes from hard work. You can get that along with a real degree at most public universities if you are serious enough.
For those interested in learning about the art producation side of gaming this site has some very nice free videos that train in the majority of tools that modelers/artists use.
The games that you can get for the dreamcast are still some of the very best games availible for any console. Plus you can pick up a new DC at some places for under $50 and the best games for around $10-$20.

The PM of japan has since retracted his support of Bush.

You probably can. If you can drop whatever preconceptions you have about emachine laptops check out this laptop.
comes in at around $1300 after rebates.
Another revelation is that your web server sucks.

See this system here? This is Hi-Fi... high fidelity. What that means is that it's the highest quality fidelity.

The of course then go on to point to here for the description of element 110. So Sorry.
That the source code to the freaken game was just leaked to the public!
Yeah that could lead to some delays.
Don't like reading about games? Why not simply disable it?
Bullet time is one of the few original concepts to come out of the shooter genre in a while, I think it is great that they are improving it.

The gist: This isn't a big deal.

Certainly explains his recent absence from the /. poll.

Well unless you are playing a tech demo.

That is a hard bargin to pass up.
