You are convincing me your reading ability is below primary school level. Just in case, this is what I wrote “Well, I can get a terrabyte drive for under $100 and a Swiss Army knife with all the other stuff for under $200 easy, so, why should I pay $3000? To show off?” I never wrote “you can get the components for $200 + $100”. Please pay attention and stop following fashion, that is only for women and homosexuals

I never said anything about "tiny form-factor" that device is as irrelevant as all those diver watches with chronograph worn by people that do not dive nor know how to use them. It to people that are desperate to show they are something. If you are not worth a damn without the device, you still not worth a damn with it. Stop following useless fashion and start thinking!

I have no preference in the backup tool, but for the cleaning, you could use DBAN (http://www.dban.org/) it is a nice open source tool that will take it’s time, but will do a great job

After all, they are mostly in the USA and the UK. It is amazing that a gene like that does not exist in countries where people are starving to death like in some African countries. A virus that targets fat people is something that we should really be afraid of. A generic targeting virus is pointless for terrorists.

Since the invention of the wheel, we have had some jobs being irrelevant as a consequence of human ingenuity. Those inventions have also created jobs. To quantify how many jobs each invention has created or destroyed is beside the point. Inventions (Either paid for or given away, including software) change the world and the way we live. We can sit in a corner and complain that old days were better and make a sincere effort to live in caves or we can move into the twenty first century and take advantage of the new opportunities. Your choice. Either way, stop complaining, because people that are taking advantage of the new opportunities are not going to stop to listen to you. We are building a newer shinier better world and clinging to the old one will not do.

I’m willing to bet the principal in that school does not wear anything with a zipper because they are dangerous, he could get his penis caught on it, because certainly he has no brains. Also, pencil sharpeners could cut the fingers if little kids were going to put them inside. Desks have hard surfaces. They should be made of some softer material, but make sure the surface is perfectly smooth so does not accumulate bacteria. And school walls and roofs should be eliminated as they could collapse in an earthquake. Another great danger comes from electricity, so that should not be allowed anywhere in the school either, specially considering that having no walls would live the cables exposed. On the same note, piping is rather hard, so there will be no water in the empty lot where the school used to be. And since there is nothing to stop the sun rays, the school should close because they cannot afford to be insured against the risk of the kids contracting skin cancer due to be outdoors all day. Let us all go back to the stone age!

Micro$oft has in the past made quite some money by efficiently marketing mediocre products without having proper competition. Now they are using that money to crash the better competition with twisted arguments that stand in a court of law because judges, lawyers and jury members have no understanding of what they are looking at. A lay person looking at a computer screen is like a preschool kid looking at a nice toy. They have no understanding of the inner workings of the device and they would naturally assume that if looks similar has to be the same, therefore patents do apply.
