It has to do with the standards laid out for interoperability (I don't know if it's the OBD standard but it's something agreed upon by the players in the industry.) Basically in order to make everything as plug and play as possible it all has to be able to talk to each other, which by definition makes it less secure. There's no such standard/requirement in, say, avionics, which is why you have physically separate networks for the different systems on an airplane.
"Path" and "issues" are words - spellchecker checks out. Asking someone to proofread is like asking them to test/verify their software before releasing it. Completely ridiculous!
The fact that people even care what's "canon" sometimes boggles my mind. You shouldn't ever get invested into a fictional universe to that degree. The IP owners will do whatever the hell will make you give them more money, so having any personal investment in these types of decisions really just makes you a pawn.
Hurricanes are a normal part of the weather cycle in Florida, but that doesn't stop me from having the opinion that Florida is the wrong place to live.
Here's some stuff that I can remember using my truck for over the past year or so:
Bark dust, gravel, etc.
Dump runs for large items
Goodwill runs
Christmas tree
Lumber
New BBQ grill
Moving
I get that a lot of people have a truck and don't make use of it very often. But I make use of it quite a lot, even while living in a crowded suburban neighborhood. So I wouldn't say that you really only need it if you're a "farmer or ranch hand."
On your last point, depending on the length of the truck, you may stick out less into the parking lot if you park tail-in (generally there's more overhang on the rear end compared to the front.) This makes it easier to get out of parking spots, and makes you less of a hazard to other people using the parking lot.
Well, people are notoriously not very good RNG machines. When asked to go to the bathroom a bunch of times in a row, I would bet most people would pick the same stall each time...
As I was saying, she stumbled upon a solution whereby nearly 99.9% of all test subjects accepted the program, as long as they were given a choice, even if they were only aware of the choice at a near unconscious level.
Unfortunately I have had a bitch of a time getting LibreOffice to reliably work with my old-ish MS Word docs, which aren't even that old (think like 5 years.) Random characters, breaks, etc. Anecdotal, but then so is your experience.
I'd like to sell you my renewable energy source - a spring. In fact, it is more easily renewable than many other renewable energies. All you do is recoil the spring again.
Noise cancelling headphones are highly frequency-dependent, and typically attenuate only 20 dB or so. Earplugs can attenuate 30 dB, and aren't as frequency-dependent. And they are dirt cheap. The only downside is that they don't play music.
Maybe retail stuff could be packaged in a simple cardboard box with biodegradable stuffing, instead of those stupid, stupid plastic clamshell containers that frustrate and then cut me when I try to get them open.
Thank God that only things like Social Security numbers were stolen - easily replaceable things like credit card numbers are still safe. Whew!
Could we write a new Slashdot headline? "Windows 10 patch works for some users. Some users have issues."
That's how I read the headline as it currently exists. You're trying to point out a problem that isn't there.
As long as the diary contains no animal-based paper or ink products, I don't see why not.

Why do you care about having a physical copy?

taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes, taxes, hard drive failure, taxes, taxes, hard drive failure, death

HASTE
Specifically the north pole, if you want to be pedantic, because "south of the south pole" would not make sense. But yes.
Do you think this particular change is for the better? Do you think we should do anything about it?
All I can tell you is that I played way too much of both of them.
So Apple is supposed to not purposefully break their app on an OS that the publisher of doesn't even support anymore.
Good to know.

You'll get none of my water; I need it for my mawn.

Flat, but not necessarily square.

I have a 6-year-old Intel SSD and have had probably 30 power outages, and I've never experienced lost data...
Anecdotes be anecdotes, I guess..
