It sounds like they are on the right way to evolve processes and systems that aren't working and evolve them to build a structure and a successful start to cultivate the leadership portals within their teams. I hope their deal with Microsoft also includes frameworks for managing organizational diversity and accountability, since we all know those are paramount for long term success and a happy work environment.
It doesn't matter whether girls or boys perform better, because the entire system is shit from the ground up, from the first year of primary school to the last year of university.
This is what school is like: let's have students listen to teachers talk for hours and then make them drill hundreds of boring problems in the comfort of their home. Stall the good students while we put all of our efforts on the slower students. Make schools and teachers the only source of knowledge in students' eyes, then wonder why kids don't read more. Overwhelm the teachers with classes of 30+ students, creating an environment that is perfect for abuse between kids and as inefficient as possible for actual learning.
In math classes, the picture is especially sweet: let's completely ignore the skill of using mathematical language and concepts to describe real problems. Let's also completely ignore the skill of validating and interpreting results. While we're at it, let's completely ignore that computers exist. Have them repeatedly do tedious calculations by hand, and then wonder why they don't love mathematics.
We live in an era of PowerPoint-driven factory chain skull-cramming education, and I don't see it changing in my lifetime.
#1: You do not talk about ORACLE CLOUD
#2: You DO NOT talk about ORACLE CLOUD
#3: If someone says "DROP TABLE", goes local storage or rains out, the cloud is over
#4: Only two-bit keys in a cloud
#5: One cloud to rule them all
#6: No backups, no three-factor authentication
#7: The cloud will grow as big as it has to
#8: If this is your first night at ORACLE CLOUD, you HAVE to upload everything
They say it's impatience, but if you're on a broadband connection and you're used to videos starting to play in less than 2 seconds, then when it drags out you just assume something's wrong and you move on, possibly to go back to it later. How is that impatience?
How is drawing UML-compliant boxes more expensive than drawing regular boxes for mind maps? Is there somewhere in the UML specification that says you can only use Faber-Castell pencils or commercial software?
I would mod parent up if I could because I would've said the same thing, in different words and with a capital letter at the beginning of my sentence. I am seriously sick of Google stabbing users in the back.
Or how about "Newssite finds: You need to plug the power cord in to switch your computer on!"
I got a laptop. Sounds like bogus news to me.
Maybe he values rat's asses more than we do, though. You never know...
Are there any politicians willing to invest in research left?
Really? He made the top 100 of this list with such an old song? Wow. Good for him. It is pretty catchy, I have to admit.
I think they mean that it's exclusive to the public, as in, the library is restricted to everyone only.
Personally, I'm against such arbitrary and strict restrictions to access data.

I was just looking for more ways to run spyware! This is great news!

Split it 50/50 then: use 150 people and 150 sacks of potatoes.
No he's not, he's talking about Cheyenne Mountain, the mountain under which is located the military base that houses the Stargate.

Or as he's recently taken to calling it, GNU+amplitude
I believe that is called a Netscapegoat.

Well, they should be, along with lasers!
-1 Insightful? How does that work?

There you go, bringing shitty grammar to the discussion again.
You've got an ear on your arm now, can you really call that a success?

It's seven billion light years away, but since it took light seven billion years to get to us, that also means it's seven billion years ago.
"Hey, look at that, there's a gamma-ray burst seven billion light years away. I guess that means space-time is smooth, huh?"
What kind of maniac thinks like that?
