when I was in web dev I allways ran my sites through w3c validator, and fixed all the error's it spit out... on the condition that fixing the error still rendered the site fine in IE, many times IE wont take valid html and renders it incorectly, incase you got leave the error in there to get the job done...
my CC expired, forgot I hadnt update paypal, tried to use paypal, was denied obviously, I tried to change the exp in my settings, it wouldnt let me, paypal has no way of changing a CC's exp and not the CC's number, thats how captial one does it, same CC num, new exp. So I delete the card and try adding it again, cant my card has been flagged for EXSESSIVE declines, yup, one, thats all it takes. I cant add that number anymore, after numberous calls and emailed they tell me its capital ones problem and to tell them to issue a new card.
try getting a refund from them ? expect 2 weeks. I transfered money to my wife, realized it was going to cost me $10, so she declined it, end result... wife had no money in payapl, I had no money in paypal, and refund on my CC took 2 weeks.
not only wifi, people are reporting good sucess with skype and a evdo (wireless internet through cellco). I tried skype using my 1xrtt (slower wireless internet through cellco) and it wasnt working good enough to use. If I had evdo in my area I would be using skype for all my longdistance calls, save a ton.
how has reruns of old cbc shows improved the quality of the service ? so if slashdot decided there would be no new stories, only re-runs of old stories would slashdot improve ?

Those were all major games as I grew up as a kid and into my teenage years. Wolfenstiend led the way for me and first person shooters. Kings Quest and Space Quests are the games that got me playing on the computer and insted of a console. And Tomb Raider waisted most my university time:)
I hacked into my boss's computer, I took a zip saw and cut the top off the server, looked inside, ripped everything out with brute force and carnage. left it in a million pieces, took pictures as I went and got onto slashdot with a howto hack a server:)
Software developers have to start taking the speed their software runs into their own hands, they cant just assume intel will up the mhz therfore their apps will run faster, if they want their apps to run faster their going to have to start taking advantage of those extra cores
quite a few years ago I was given a Cyrix PR133+ motherboard/processor from a friend that bought it in the states, it was terribly unreliable, crashed all the time, he didnt want the hassle of returning it because of all the shipping etc etc so he gave it to me, I underclocked it to a CyrixPR100+ and man that thing was stable, I used it as home server for years, it had 120+ days of uptime no problem (thats amazing for a cyrix)

If your going to switch processors (ppc to intel) then you want to use up the old stock, switch to dual processor only and use them up twice as fast :)

Thats a good idea, Still allow the person to surf the web, check their fav sites, get email, but not have people sitting there for 8h ...
A friend of mine has the sat internet, the delay is terrible, using voip on sat would be terrible, 3-4 delay at least.
$1995 and it comes with linux, Imagine how much it would cost if it came with XP, $2995 ?
