but does anyone really claim that Firefox or OSS is 100% secure? IMHO, that is a straw man made up by MS partisans, in an attempt to discount claims by OSS people.
OSS: "Our stuff is more secure and has a better track record of security."
MS partisans: "Look they are claiming that their stuff is 100% secure, that's false!"
I think at best it would be a small handful of hacks, who would be best ignored that claim OSS is 100% secure... either that some a purposefull exageration.

The worst part about my father though.. is he's NOT computer illiterate. He was writting in basic back in our C-64 days. Even wrote a program that a doctor was using for his research. He's built his own box before, does video editing and everything... i just get fustrated when asked to help him do something as simple as connect his PC to the printer on the home Router... gah.

I did something similar. When in colledge, i tried to run it as a business... that was terrible. It's more work than the money is worth it. In the end, i just ended up helping people for favours in some way or another. A doctor friend, once gave me a ride on his boat and lunch for fixing his PC. It works out well... especially in those cases where you help someone who's a really good cook .)

The funny thing is, the people i hate to help the most are my parents. I dunno if it's a mental block of soem sort, but i seem to get most irritated when they do stuff to their computers.

you're f'n kidding me right? As far as i understand it, slander, is when i tell lies about a person. A stupid joke is not a lie. As for the racist remarks.. chances are you'll get your ass beat... and deservedly so. Either way, it's NOT slander... they didn't get arrested for slander.

All i am saying is that the got arrested for disrupting th ecourts, but th earticle makes it sound like they didn't really disrupt the court... just offended some lawyer. Sorry.. but that's not against the law. Heck... i could even call the president a moron if i wanted to, it's not illegal.

What the fuck ever. I'm sick of this lefty redefinition of freedom of speech. You're free to say whatever you want, but not WHEREVER and HOWEVER.

I've told Engineer Jokes to Engineers... should that count as Slander? When it boils down to it, the real deal comes on whether or not they were disrupting th ecourts function or not, which the article isn't as clear on as i would have liked.
