    ... then I saw the regular farm electric fence transformer was only $15! SOLD! A roll of aluminum wire was $5 for 1/4 mile and the insulators was another $2. So for $22 and about 2hrs work I had an electric fence.

    IP address doesn't even identify the bill payer in many cases, only an address from which the supposed infringement has taken place which, given the number of actual devices that might be connected via a public facing IPv4 address, is at best a speculative guess...

    I think they mean the one who pays the ISP bill for the public-facing IPv4 address.

    I have NEVER seen a parking lot with >2 HC spots where all were occupied. I have, on countless occasions, seen 6-20 HC spots at major stores, all empty.

    The rule on places like Slashdot and other Internet forums is that so long as the text can be understood, variations in spelling and grammar are acceptable, should not be corrected, and usually should not even be mentioned.

    I've gotten to the point where if I don't immediately know the number (or if you can't show me in the first 15 seconds that you are someone I do business with) then I just have to assume the caller is fraudulent and tell them to fsck themselves.

    As a Windows user, I tell them to chkdsk themselves. They usually hang up after that.

    Don't say religion when you only mean Christianity. For example, Jews and Muslims don't believe the Earth is only 6000 years old, neither do Hindus or Buddhists.

    Yes. When Judge Judy catches someone in a lie, it puts their whole testimony under question.

    It is certainly not an enumerated power and does not give the federal government unlimited power to "promoting the general Welfare" or "insure domestic Tranquility".

    Perhaps the federal government should try to go around tranquilizing everybody in the country. That would certainly help to insure domestic tranquility.

    If you can prove we weren't the "chosen ones" or you can ultimately prove what actually created the universe and create life from nothing in a scientific way, a LOT of religious people will be disappointed.

    Actually, I doubt too many religious people will be very disappointed, as their religious beliefs likely transcend their science beliefs. The "proof" would likely be rejected at first, but eventually creep into some religions, maybe even try to live alongside with it. There are, I hear, religious people who do actually believe the evolution theory, and try to fit it in with creation, somehow or other.

    Hmm i wonder how i would describe 4500000 miles? thats not a nice number. but 450k miles isn't technically correct either.

    I personally would call it "four and a half million miles" - not some number of megamiles or kilomiles.
