You do realize that in the U.S. the President is in complete and utter command of the millitary, right? The military has to obey the President. I understand that this is a different race of humans, but it's hardly SO not believable that the President is Commander in Chief of the military.
Are the Storm Troopers clones? I thought they were regular people. I realize the clone army was clones, but I didn't think the storm troopers were clones. . .
No, the virus method is much more a "surgical strike" than a "general effect".
We've all been exposed to this virus before and have developed antibodies for it, which make us immune to it. Therefore, it doesn't have any effect on us, it only affects the tumor.
I've already had chicken pox and I'm now immune to it. If my entire body is exposed to the chicken pox, it wouldn't have any effect on me.
As you said "Precise attempt to only affect the problem area". By injecting this virus directly into the tumor, the doctors are making a "precise attempt to only affect the problem area".
Since Oncolytics (The Company) is the only one who knows how to make this stuff and according to their FAQ:
10. Is REOLYSIN(R) available through program such as Canada's Special Access Program?
The Company will not approve requests for treatment with REOLYSIN(R) through programs such as the SAP. ONC treats only those patients who qualify for enrollment in its clinical trials.
Reovirus stands for Respiratory Enteric Orphan Virus. The reovirus is a naturally occurring virus to which
most of us have been exposed in our lifetime. It is a non-pathogenic virus, meaning that it is not usually associated with any illness. Between 70 and 100 per cent of the population show signs of previous reovirus infection, which is usually confined to the respiratory or gastrointestinal systems in the body.
And you don't infect the entire patient if you can get at the tumor:
8. How is reovirus administered to patients?
Reovirus is being injected directly into cancerous tumours in our T2 prostate and glioblastoma cancer studies. Oncolytics has also completed the preclinical work required to begin a systemic study, where the reovirus will be administered intravenously.
I'm using the MSN plugin that was included with Miranda IM version 0.3.1 I think that's the latest version. I have "Use MSN protocal v.8" checked in the options.
This is an upcoming FPS/RPG where the developers make it a point of saying that it's you, the player, who advance in skill, not the stats of your character in the game.
Most people don't have a problem with the types of art you mention. But they would if you, say, took bricks from my house to build your sculptures, grabbed my keyboard to make your music, nabbed my white bedsheets to paint your pictures on. Or took my walls to draw you pictures.
Actually, you don't redefine a property line just by putting up a fence. If I buy and acre of land and split it down the middle with a fence, I didn't just suddenly lose half my land (or all of it: each side of the fence to the land owner on each side of the property).
And yes, if my fence (that I bought and installed) is on my property (that I own) then you sure as heck can't touch it (or paint it). I't MINE damnit, not yours!
There's no "common law" saying you can paint (or do anything else to) private property that doesn't belong to you.
Uh, I haven't seen any posts above yours that are shouting about "Graffiti ain't art danget!!" Some people are questioning copyright, but that's about it. Save your rant for when it's warrented.
ARB may require 24 bits as a minimum but that has nothing to do with assumed shader precision. What he's getting at Nvidia can't do 24 bit, only better or worse than 24 bit.
Yeah, I agree. How could posting song lyrics online hurt the Motion Picture Association of America? Let's stick it too 'em and stop buying their damn CDs!!
And Paramount has nothing to do with it. Some snippets from their website.
"Star Trek: Renaissance is a collaboratively written fan fiction project depicting events in the Alpha Quadrant after the Dominion War with an original ship and crew. The series is a mixture of political intrigue, exploration and character driven drama with a definite story arc running in the background.
A new Star Trek series written with the same industry standards as a real TV drama, but from the fans, to the fans, by the fans - most of them people who were disappointed to the lack of ingenuity in Star Trek: Voyager. Like its canon cousins, the series is written in standard script format and divided into seasons, each lasting for 26 episodes."
"The Dominion War has been over for a quarter of a century, but the painful scars of the conflict still run deep. The Alpha Quadrant rebuilds but in the process, a lot of compromises are made. Idealism and principles of the old are sometimes bent, sometimes broken.
Alliances forged in the fires of war buckle as the galaxy looks for the troubled new century, a time of isolationism and prejudice. New and old enemies rise, both without, and within. It takes a resolved crew to face the challenges of this era. A new Captain. A new ship. The USS Enterprise."
We've got a Captain that's flawed, alien shipriders that we're not sure we can trust and a Federation that could be withering from internal corruption. I've read the first few, and they have been GOOD. Easily better than the last 2 TV series AND movies to come out of Hollywood. If you've been thirsting for new Trek but with the same qualities that endeared you to the old Trek then you should stop reading this and click the link.
How in the world could the situation the parent comment describes ever happen? Now, it has been quite a while since I've put on a school play for my parents, but my school never charged money for admission to these performances. In fact, my mom is a teacher and she just organized a school play version of "Shrek". I've yet to hear any lawyers pound on her door.
I too disagree with the Supreme Court ruling but the above argument doesn't make sense to me. And if you need a way to fund these school plays then open up a concession stand during the performance.
US Version - completed in 1967

In Milwaukee, WI there is a place known as "The Domes" (The actual name is the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory) They are 3 beehive (not geodesic) shaped domes that house 3 separate climates (arid, tropical, and something called "Floral Show") that are 85' tall. Construction on them was completed in 1967 for a measly 4.5 million.
Yeah, I realize it's not quite the same as PE but I thought everyone should know that we yanks have our own big plastic plant house thingies too.
I wanted the same thing for my PC when I started playing Tekken 3 on it. In my search to buy such a thing I stumbled upon Arcade Controls. This is a TERRIFIC site that has all the info you could possibly want about building your own actual arcade controls for your PC. Includes many how tos and examples including links to arcade parts suppliers. Stuff runs around $10 for the stick and $1.50 for a button so it's not that expensive of a project. For the really adventureous there's also information about building your own actual arcade using your PC and various emulators to power it. But that's getting a little OT so I'll stop there.
I don't think anyone here is worried that Bioware is out to swindle us. But that doesn't mean we should let this stuff slip by. What happens when (hypothetically, but possible) some less morally sound company buys your company tomorrow?
And just because other people do it doesn't make it right.;)

Body weight, of course!! Finally a biometric that can't possibly be faked and is 100% unique!

Uh, yes he is - right here

Read it and then mod yourself "Redundant"

Just no light cycle multiplayer

What about enjoying that snazzy 5.1 surround sound. Isn't that impossible with headphones since there are only 2 speakers?
Instead of complaining, let's figure out a solution; does anyone know where else this can be found?
Zane, I must say that sig is JUST WRONG! I ALMOST FRICKIN FELL OUTTA MY DAMN CHAIR. GOOD GOD THAT SCARED THE CRAP OUTTA ME!
The fact that it's 1 in the morning and there weren't any lights on may have had some effect...
almost forgot this.
