Maybe some SOHO/small business networking gear gets retired prematurely, but for larger scale Cisco stuff the end of sale/end of life dates are way beyond when anyone would reasonably want to use the gear.
I need to build a business around some new buzzword and sell it to VMware. Cloud and everything related to it has really stagnated development of other areas of IT in my opinion. Companies try and figure out WTF SDN is or how to integrate their networking stack with AWS instead of focusing on what's really happening in the IT world.
If your ISP provides you an insecure router and your credit card numbers are subsequently stolen, whose fault is it? Especially when these routers are only configurable via your ISP?
That's how you get ahead in IT (and every other career). Always be learning and keeping busy. If you spend a lot of time at work on Facebook, some young 20 something is going to replace you. Soon.
Ubuntu would make more money by moving towards Red Hats model of licensing instead of their (outrageous) support hours. Their cost model for enterprise support is a huge reason my workplace won't use them.
These countries need to be dissolved and integrated with another. Things are just going to get worse. What's better, preserving a nations identity or preventing the inevitable extinction of it?
Arguably, Valve probably wouldn't be pushing full "steam" ahead on this if Microsoft hadn't dreamt up a Windows Store. This is in my opinion a real game changer for the PC ecosystem and the future of Windows.
This post and a lot of comments make it seem like the oil produced would stay in our country and only used by us. Yea right, it would be sold to the highest bidder on the market, which will probably be China in a couple of years. Meanwhile our country is turned into a wasteland from this and fracking.
Obama and Romney have been sending me 12 page full color magazines daily for the past twelve weeks. I think there comes a point when campaign money should be capped.

To anyone brave enough to decode the stories themselves. Would that count as RTFA?
Will the public have access to the results (thinking property values) or will it only be available to a select few?
I wish I could mod you +1 paranoid schizophrenic.
That hot girl you're falling in love with is actually your daughter.
Go back to when people had web sites as a hobby and not this SEO, per click revenue blog spam shithole we have today.

I think the biggest reason he gets so much flak is because no one can figure out how to make a quick buck off his businesses.
Too many entrenched managers who provide nothing to the company.

But an incompetent Linux admin can cause far worse damage than an incompetent windows one.
Give control of everything to the UN
Nintendo, you would make money hand over fist if you became multiplatform and did HD remakes for everything. Seriously, swimming in a lake of green.

Bringing you the news from last week, today!
I thought IronPort has a pre canned filter for "leaking memos". I could never fine tune that product though, apparently Cisco can't either.

Heaven takes up a lot of space too.
