The idea of someone "owning" the internet is pretty ridiculous. Between the IANA and maybe a revisit of the ol' DNS infrastructure guidelines, I don't think anyone globally would need to have the final say.
I was looking to get into an epic fantasy, and I got a lot more than I asked for. Malazan is huge, and it touches on so many aspects of human nature. The series can be seen as a debate about everything, from poverty, to war, to politics... So much is touched by that book. It really gives a different viewpoint on what is really good and what is really evil. It's also jammed pack with action and intrigue. I personally hated GM's Song of Fire and Ice series (especially after book 3), and I found Malazan to be exactly what I wanted out of a fantasy epic.
and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious microchips.
A lot of the government offices will face challenges with IPv6 connectivity to the internet because a very large number of US ISPs are not IPv6 ready. Especially up here in midwest, you mention "are you IPv6 ready?" and your ISP sales rep gives you a blank look and asks what you're talking about. Maybe if the governments push for this at the ISP level we might see it filter down.
Some types of autism or personality disorders make people come across as "jerks" to other more extroverted people. If someone is just quiet or short with you, it doesn't necessarily mean they're a jerk.
Are consultants and hardware manufacturers. The government has no idea what to do with this information, and its going to spend an enormous amount of money for what will end up being a data vault that is locked away because its too big of a failure to admit they were wrong in the first place to attempt this.
For most of the country an intro to Office 2010 is all they need to know about computers. College should prepare them for future employment. If you're complaining about other alternatives, realize the course wasn't targeted at you.
Call me a scrooge, but the idea of donating money to projects that will eventually charge you to purchase the product they produce seems ridiculous to me. On top of that, there is no guarantee that the project you donate to will see the light of day. Honestly, can someone tell me why this is such an appealing option?
Wall Street is really pushing the envelope on high performance computing and programming. It's hard to not be impressed by the hardware and performance.
SMTPS needs to be adopted as the replacement for traditional SMTP. The fact that it's not could be coincidental or outside influences. All you'd really have to do is put it in as a requirement for PCI/HIPAA and the majority of big business would be forced to adopt it.
Wasn't this inevitable? It's way cheaper for "concept" artists to use tried and true melodies than really break the mold with something new. Who would want to invest in crap like that?

I'm sure it will somehow take AWS down :)
CenturyLink could have bought them.

I don't think Samsung would've created this if Android wasn't a huge driver behind their mobile success.

How would a robot assist me while doing ecstasy out in the wilderness?

How would this affect the local weather?
The bailout for the lawyer industry.
The fun of teaching is doing the teaching part, not being the physical replacement students beat on for some guy on TV.

Never confuse incompetence with military SOP.
They may also be using something called load balancing, but we're still waiting for sources to confirm.
What an apt name for our new help desk tech!

If all you're doing on the Internet is looking at pictures with text on it, maybe you should re-evaluate your goals in life. Like posting on slashdot.
