Wolf-PAC has been working at the state level for quite some time now to convice the states to have an Article V convention to amend the constitution. A former SCOTUS member John Paul Stevens has even gone on record saying an amendment is the only real way to fix the problem. Vermont's house is voting on it today (it already passed the Senate).
AFAIK they're somewhere around 10-11% of the server market. The register had a piece on this not too long ago.
10% may not sound like much, but considering they were around 7% the previous month its a pretty nice jump. Also, 10% is a lot of money considering its the server market.
I agree with your point about content based strcture, but the first point I don't.
GUI advances are for the non command line crowd. Thats why its a GUI advancement. Its faster than your first point and morons counteract your second point.
Geeks will always love the command line, but the reality is that most (l)users are not geeks.
Although a ridiculous idea, this reminds me of what a lot of people I know do with printers. Buy one, when the ink runs out trash it and buy another. Cheaper than the ink cartridges. Everyone knows this is by design from the printer manufacturers but it makes me wonder - have they thought about the environmental consequences?
I build up truckloads of computer parts and take them in to be properly recycled once a year. Somehow I doubt most people do this.
The horn section JBOT recently introduced almost destroyed my ears. Poor JBOT - I, for one, would not like to have to sing before crappy drunk crowds with my own intestines in hand!
And don't miss breakfast. This is why the United States is a nation of fat slobs. Nutritional experts telling everyone they need to eat like an adolescent during his growth spurt. Most people don't need breakfast or lunch either for that matter.
What? Its been very well proven that eating breakfast boosts your metabolism which then allows your body to actually process lunch, rather than turning it into fat to store up for the next time you starve yourself.
I had to teach a class about this in my last CS class in college. It wasn't a selector that was used to eliminate invalid paths. The only invalid paths possible would be of an incorrect length, all you had to do was use gel electrophoresis to detect strands of the right length and that was your answer pool.
This article explains it pretty well. The original article done by Adleman is in the August 1998 issue of Scientific American.
I have a side project where we're writing a game, and another with an old college buddy just playing around with java3D and JINI.
For stuff that is not purely fun related, I repair, upgrade and troubleshoot peoples PCs, mostly for beer. Cheap for them, easy for me, and it lessens the "that neighbor is a freak" attitude.
I'm in one of the highest density areas of Charlotte, Google did half my neighborhood and stopped. AT&T came in and finished it, and got my business.

PLEASE for the love of god don't let fark do a ps contest on this!
IBM sells servers cheaper, sure.. but they sell everything in bundles, especially to large clients which is basically the server market.
I've recently entered the hell known as the DB2/WebFear/AIX bundle. I was forced into it in a shared environment in a fairly large corporation.
My other internal customers all use WL, whatever DB they choose (mainly Oracle and MySQL), and a mix of Solaris and Linux.
The side that has a choice loves the new servers. The side that is all IBM in comparison is, for lack of a better word, pathetic.
Of course, they both gripe about the choice of M$ OSes as being a filthy scheme to make more money!

Perhaps this could be the cure for coldplay!

- he who will never gain any positive mod points.

Did no one else notice that there is someone in the C list named Kitty Bukkake? I mean really - what kind of name is that?!?
Although... that might be a blog I would actually read.
Until it gets /.ed anyway, look to be plenty of other mirrors in this thread so hopefully they will get it soon, too. Heres the one on spaceflightnow.
Don't know how long before this server melts as well, but theres a mirror of the first pic here.
