Windows 64 seems to be a good deal. From the benchmarks I looked at, i get the same, if not worse performance than the 32-bloat version. Not bad for $140US.
I miss the days when i could play C64, Atari, Coleco and Intellivision until i had square eyes. Not a care in the world, as i was in the public school system.
I like the fact that for years we were pushed around by Microsoft and their products. Now someone else big is on the block and pushing back. Who knows, maybe this one can update itself without a reset.
I don't know if i would trust Micro$oft with any relationship involving Linux. They'll probably mess it up, try buying it to get rid of it, or patent some critical part of it, going by their history with software of course.
With an extra $4 Billion I guess Google can go purchase another company like M$ does.
The trend of RSS vs Atom doesn't seem too surprising with the popularity rise of RSS feeds, viewers and general content from the major news and tech sites.
The Xbox 360 sounds interesting but why go with the 2.5" drive when 3.5" are common and inexpensive. Wifi (B&G) is dirt cheap these days too. With that, plus talk about MS charging fees for companies to make 3rd party addons later on, it sounds like money-mongering of the highest level. Even for the 75% of people that wouldn't be in that chat room and aren't geeks, it doesn't sound like the Core system is a deal. Sounds like a dud.
MS should be honest and call the Xbox 360 a dud, but for now you can upgrade that dud for the low price of $100 and get what it should have in the first place.
This would be an interesting stop on a car rally:... 25. Drive 3.4 km to the cemetary 26. Find Mr. Smith's Vidstone and watch the short clip. Write down his favorite teenage icecream flavor and highschool sweethearts name. 27. Leave cemetary....
If you were close to a "free" or open picostation like the one ipaccess.com has, would it then be free minutes then, or would the cellular company still ding you for using the frequency since the phone is registered to them?
We sure could use Free Wifi up here in Vancouver. If we had that and a Wifi phone using VoIP, then i could drive over my cellphone and save $50 a month too!
This reminds me of a commercial i saw the other day where the bank customers had an account UPC code stapled to their forehead to help track and manage their account. It was so convenient when the clerk tried scanning their head at the wicket. Good ol' tracking in the interest of safety/convenience.
Batchelor degrees, eh? Didn't know you could get those too.

Now all we need is a computer device like the ones they used in the movie 'Red Planet'.
Does this mean the USPTO could be sued by Nintendo in the future for all these ridiculous software patents.
How come this worm can remove Gator, but i can't?
Maybe it can be used to improve OpenOffice load times.
but can you put linux in it? Or make it into a wifi mobile hotspot?

What do you need a kW for, a USB hair dryer? Might have to put in another outlet just for that baby.
Maybe they can get rid of the software patents before it's too late, otherwise Micro$oft will have everything locked up.

Ah, the good old disclaimer added to cover ones rear. With litigation flying free as newspaper in the wind, one can't be to careful these days.
Maybe with all the partying, that is why my adsense questions haven't been answered.

What are the costs on a system like this?

At least Google is big enough in recourses to accomplish something like this. I wonder if their free wifi comes with AdSense?
