    1) A GPL source code will continue to be available. 2.4.1, 2.4.2... will have a GPL source for *nix on this web page.
    2) My particular Windows release is not released under GPL. Since people's source (patch) contributions have not stated any terms, I have decided to release this under Shareware, to protect the extra work I have done to make a good Windows release. However, I'll always respect peoples wishes. If someone has contributed some code and want it removed, you only have to ask (mail me personally), and it will be done. If this happens, I'll just rewrite the code myself, AND release it under GPL for your pleasure.
    3) You can download and use 3rd party builds (like SilvereX's). It's also worth noting that alot of the knowledge needed to create SilvereX's build comes directly from me.

It doesn't matter that people's contributions did not state any terms, they were contributing to a GPLd program.

So basically you're saying you could kill the "competition" to make your release of the windows port exclusive. That's fine. Nothing's stopping me from keeping these old versions that I got and work. I refuse to get a program which shifted from a GPL-licensed program to Shareware. This shows the sole purpose of the writer changed from a personal project to something to help you financially. I'm sure you work as hard on the linux ports as on the windows. Surely not the same things are demanded but both got your equal effort but you're asking for profit from ONE of them.

While some local school teachers were being shown how the store worked, one remarked "I'm so glad I went to college" to which a manager replied "I have an MBA." Fast food is one of those industries where to hang on at the higher levels you need to be damn good at your job, not just compared to those under them, but compared to any possible person to fill the job.

If you want someone who's got much more than a lick of sense... find someone who owns a McDonalds store as opposed to a store manager who just runs the store. Most of them worked their way up through the system (often starting as an order taker, fry person, etc) and realized that a great deal of money can be made in owning such a place.

Recently I came across this blog by accident and was surprised to see my break-in story linked to by it, in reading the comments I thought I should respond to a few:

Ogre Lawless and others: No, I do not expect to get my money back from her nor do I care about the change that much.

Loquacious: You said "Up to 10 years in a state prison for $50 bucks in loose change?" They are two separate things. The theft of the money (which I don't care too much about) is punishable by up to 30 days in the county jail, while the 2nd degree burglary (even if nothing was taken) is worth up to 10 years in the state pen. Given that mine are not the only charges she's currently answering for (a couple of other break-ins (house and car)) she is virtually guaranteed some time in the pen.

Yes, it is harsh, and despite her age, she is well known by the local PD and court system. There are many on all sides who look forward to this incorrigible being removed from polite and civilized society for a time. Given her track record, I'd argue it's necessary.

"Do you know this woman? I do! She broke into my house on my birthday, has she broken into yours?"

nakedcodemonkey: The camera I've got is specifically designed as a security camera and is a standalone unit that stores the pictures to an MMC card so there is no connection to my computer. If she'd known the device was a camera and she stole it, I would have had no record of the culprit. I have since made some changes in my home to ensure that that cannot happen in future.

Yes, I am a little paranoid and that is why I have the camera. I had a couple of DVD's go missing back in the late fall and could never figure out where they went. Not thinking it likely that I'd have anything else disappear in future I didn't worry too much, however when I ran across the camera at a very reasonable price I figured it couldn't hurt.

I should also mention that my intention with the web page was never to smear her online or anything of the sort. When I mentioned to some friends that I had my house broken into I ended up repeating the same story many times... so for simplicity I wrote it all up once and said "go here if you want to know"
