I wore my "Chicks dig Unix" shirt to the mall one day.... All I got were weird stares from male and femail, and some disgusted looks from some old folks that probably didn't know what UNIX was... :)

I saw a demo of this type of technology here in washington state about 2-2.5 years ago. The demo was done by Washington Water Power. It had a smallish fuel cell, that lit up a small light bulb, and the only by-product was pure water.

Is it possible to make a small enough one to power a Palm Pilot (given time for the technology to advance enough)? How much hydrogen is there floating around here in the air that we breathe?

Just heard on NPR that Canada has closed the borders for a while, not sure for how long.

Ya know, sometimes I hate the people in this country. I was just out at a client's place earlier today, and they hadn't heard of the bombing. I told them what was going on, and they turned on the TV for a few minutes, then kinda lost interest. I got the impression they didn't care because nothing exciting was occuring here (rural northeast washington state). I'm almost getting sick to my stomach just sitting here thinking about all the death and destruction.
