No, of course not. I draw the line at having an actual keyboard

Well, that's both arbitrary and wrong. The older mainframes that used paper tape and punch cards didn't have keyboards.

You don't get to define what makes a computer, and by any meaningful definition, a tablet is undeniably a computer.

    ENIAC didn't have a keyboard, that doesn't mean it wasn't a computer.

    Sorry, but you're wrong.

um they didn't say computer they said pc or personal computer based off of the original ibm pc which have always had keyboards.

Why should games be any different than every other media? I have in the case of many of my favorite books, that I now own my own dead tree version of, I read originally after borrowing them from a friend or the library. I first played Halo CE for pc when my friend lent me the disk after he finished it a few weeks later I bought it from amazon. People find many things they like through their friends sharing it with them locking games to one device is a horrible idea.
Then there is the problem of when your own device dies say the cpu dies or the power supply decides to catch fire? you buy another if they are still available (hell i still play mario on an Nintindo NES and pong on a original atari) and it won't run your games because they are locked to your now dead console.

Yes they do care about peripherals, most people would like to be able to plug their digital camera (if you are out hiking you want a camera not built into you tablet), their external hard drive, their usb drive, their usb printer or scanner, your digital home video camera but you cant plug those into a ipad, you can plug them into an ultra book. You want to edit you home video that you just dumped your HD digital video camera you your kids graduation or of your vacation footage on an ipad the interface isn't even the problem then hard-drive space is, hell until now my dads mid range consumer camera he bought in the mid 00's has had more storage than any ipad. good luck trying to replace all of that with bluetooth. blue tooth is a toy in comparison to usb for anything more the most minuscule of file transfer/editing

The problem is though to get the FSF stamp of approval you can't have even a opt-in non-free repo which debian has had but is getting closer to abandoning in a quest for the GNU stamp. How is my freedom protected by the removal of my ability to install software? How is removing the non free as in speech wifi/graphics driver repos supposed to help me when it means my laptop can't connect to the internet or display properly? By default the debian install is already free software but, GNU wants to remove my ability to install what I want so as to "protect" my rights to use my computer as is see fit? What if i just want to connect to the internet or be able to have X11 run properly.
The issues of legality of none free codex while I agree is something that needs dealt with, this is not the place that, as it is a matter of legilative Patent and copyright reform that needs corrected. For now though simply putting that code in a separate deactivated repo as is done by most distros is adequate but for some odd reason not enough for gnu. Yhey believe that it should not be an option leaving me to wonder how am i more free for not being given the option? How about letting users make the call of what is best for themselves? Or are we to be forced to live freely?
