Q: Will Revolution feature screens on the console or the controller?
A: No. At a June 2004 analyst briefing in Japan, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said, "We have no intention of making a two-screen console akin to the [Nintendo] DS."
Here's hoping that this will make it to a production model and not just a design model.
It seems pretty obvious the poster was aware this was not a "product". I agree their choice of words wasn't the best, but it was pretty obvious to me from the start it wasn't a production model.
But it still has more merit than the "art project" you imply it to be.
Um, nobody claimed it was a product, did you bother to read the post or look past that one page on the website? This is a design concept by a russian company who does industrial design. many of their other design concepts have made it to production.
I've been using Rhapsody for over 3 years now, and I've always paid $9.99 a month every month. I've never been asked to pay for a whole year in advance.
It's a short video clip with bloopers and outtakes from the film cut between the DVD Credits. There is one of these on every Star Wars DVD accessed by entering 1138 on one of the menus.
Apple decides to use USB and Firewire... now they are "standard equipment".
Just because apple was the first to adopt these technology doesn't necessarily mean they should be credited with it being "standardized". It could have been anybody to take the first step.
Apple ditches the floppy drive... now you have to ask for one if you order dell, ibm or gateway. The floppy drive history, who cares who ditched it first, they all would have eventually, and I hardly believe this makes Steve Jobs a major influence on the technology world. (I'm not saying he isn't, but I don't like this argument.) I stopped installing floppy drives in my home built computers before apple did, maybe I should be on the list somewhere.
They point is that they were not paying those fees. They were showing the movie for profit without going through the proper channels to get permission first from Lucasfilm or Fox. If they were doing it for free, or had gotten permission first, there probably wouldn't have been a problem.
All that tells me is how much my spending limit and cash withdrawl limits are for my PayPal debit card. It says nothing about how much I can send through PayPal itself. Does that mean there is no limit?
The original post is a little misleading. the software isn't blocked by cd burning software... it conflicts with cd emulation software, which is a compltely different thing. CD Emulation just happens to be included with a lot of cd burning software but can usually be disabled without uninstalling the program.
The entire point of his post wasn't how easy it was to do such a thing. It's not easy to reverse engineer software either...
All he was saying was people can attempt to reverse engineer any every day item if they so choose and nobody thinks twice, so why should software be any different?
Who cares how easy or hard it is to accomplish his analogies, they worked to show his point.
If you don't like his anolgies so much, why don't you suggest some better ones?
It appears as if even though you didn't link directly to their homepage, enough people went from here, to sourceforge, to their homepage to effectively slashdot it.

If you really want to go to college, then just go. If you decide to "take a year off" odds are you'll never actually end up going.

will as slashdotting be something that makes james go whoot?
I think your confused on what linear vs. non-linear editing is.
read here: http://videomaker.com/scripts/article.cfm?id=2302
What your asking for is on-the-fly editing.
RTFA.
"The space center has never experienced a direct hit by a hurricane, though there have been a few close calls."
So you can install it BEFORE you connect it to the internet, that way your box doesn't get compromised while your downloading the update.

you might try actually reading the post

Judging by the moderation more people got the joke than didn't. You can't please everybody.
If people refrained from telling jokes because a few people might not have the correct frame of reference than there wouldn't be much humor around.
But if the post offended anybody than I apologize. I wasn't trying to be racist.
i guess you guys don't watch South Park

So is that technically a slashdotting?
I second that. Lasers tag will never compare to the thrill of paintball. Everything is much more exciting when it actually hurts to get shot.
