I'm sorry but if I'm not waiting in line for this movie, I'd just be playing solitairre at work. So really the economy is being spurred by me going out and spending money, no?
James has a homepage here, for your perusal. There are some really interesting things on it, like the fact he is Canadian and likes pies in Bill Gate's face to name a few.
Interesting idea, although it'll be interesting to see if the idea catches on.
That's interestingly a very interesting comment that piqued by interest in this interesting subject of interest. What I'm more interested in knowing is if any other interesting people are interested in this interesting idea? Why is it that no matter what things humans do to the earth (good or bad), the ONLY time we're "playing God" is when we fiddle with genes. Very arbitrary criterion if you ask me. Did not God create the trees and the animals? Why when we destroy or create these things then are we not "playing God". It seems a bit illogical to me.
This is a REALLY good idea! Think if there was some central repository for security updates and stuff that shipped with the OS! You could just click a link on your desktop and it would show you everything that needed to be updated or that had security holes. Then you could easily check what you wanted to patch, and it would do it for you! The only thing left is a name for this great idea, how about "Windows Update"??
P2P = good Distributed computing = good p2p + distributed computing = bad.
This reminds me of something my dad once told me regarding his school lunch as a boy. Just because kids like spaghetti, and kids like peanut butter, doesn't mean they'll like spaghetti and peanut butter.

Too bad, I was thinking of a way out of doing my math homework tonight.
"How do you telecommuters out there deal with those Bad Computing Days, where for one reason or another, things just refuse to work? "
Simple, I read a good book or spend time with my friends. Seriously, this sounds like complaining about getting a day off of school because it is too icy out or something.
This is the only time since I started reading this site in '99 that I remember the editors posting comments in such numbers. Naturally, it is when they want our money.

Sure I can. How about "right now."

Shuffle: You can now choose between shuffling between songs or between albums. I'm not quite sure what that means.
Allow me to clarify. Shuffling between songs would take all your songs and play them in random order.
Shuffling albums would take all your albums and play them in random order. So, Album2, Album4,Alubum3..etc...
