    For better or worse, the US government is large. In fact, it is HUGE. It would be impossible for every decision to be internally consistent in any organziation this size. This is why you always see those exposes on ABC and the like saying Branch A of govt does this and that while Branch B seems to be doing someething flying in the face of it. Its not necessarily that the govt. are hypocrites, all it is is a aggregate of people like you and I. So in this case, its not really the worst thing in the world. And what happend to "innocent until proven guilty"?

    I knew this would happen. You know why? Cause it was stupid. And usually when stupid things happen, someone made a mistake. Mistakes usually get corrected, just like this one. Sure it probably sucked being in jail for months, but look around where you are, is it really that much worse than what you see?

    Haha! I wish these people would learn how to code, people in my freshmen CS courses have written better OS's than this! I mean, really, was there no testing done on this? How many bugs don't we know about? What? This happened in Linux, not Windows? Oh, well you know, everyone does make mistakes. Look at the power of open source. Within days, service pack...I mean, a patch was out.

    That's the BEST time to interview someone, sure the answers you get might not make sense sometimes, but it really shows how a person feels, which is the point of the interview! And plus, you'd think someone with the smarts of Zimmerman would be able to articulate himself in any situation! Is he scared of what might happen to him if he says what he really thinks?? Labeled as a terrorist??

    thank you, these are the words i was searching for. there's more to life than acting like a child. there are plenty of jobs out there i'd be incredibly enthused to have, and after i graduate i plan on getting one of them. and no, they don't involve flirting with males by shooting them with fake guns.

    is it just me or does this guy seem to want a job where he can run around shooting co-workers with nerf guns? was that even fun when you could do it?? it sounds like it would get old in about 10 minutes. you need to stop obsessing over the fact that no one these days is going to let you play like a child when you're supposed to coding perl or whatever it is you do.

    if your job isn't fun for you, get a new job. working the state sounds interesting to me. your job should be rewarding, don't waste your life hating your job, do something you love.

    Classic reductio ad absurdem here. Let's walk through it. We'll assume Linux is better and free. Therefore, due to the laws of economics, Linux should all but have obliterated all the competition at this point. However, this has not even come close to happening. Either Linux is not better, or it is not free. Linux is free, therefore it is not better. Care to reject that?
