But Steve was well aware of the restriction of entering the music market when he chose to point his company in that direction with the introduction of Itunes and the Ipod and later the distribution business ITMS. He most certainly did know that this fight was coming. hmmmm.. I wonder what he has up his sleeve.

I look at this as science for science's sake, and in my mind that is dangerous. Sometimes what you learn is not worth what you've destroyed. I think the Egyptians should use the fact that this may be the final resting place of one of their ancient pharohs as a reason to protect it. It is one of the few *known* natural treasures they have in it's pristine condition. Who are we to say they should open it up for exploration? Especially when in the past the great treasures of their past have been stolen and now reside in museum collections around the world. Remember it's their history, their ancestors. Whether I think it's desecration or not does not matter, it is what they believe that matters.

  7. Re:Archaeologist... Grave robber.... on Secret Chamber In The Great Pyramid? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Trying to open a pharoh's grave site is not going to advance our knowledge much. We know about as much as we are going to about the ancient Egyptian culture. So this is more a treasure hunting expedition then a pursuit of knowledge. It's cool how the did it, but high tech grave robbing is still grave robbing.

Did you actually read any of your links. Except for the Halloween X memo the referred to articles are all conjecture. Not one of them has any hint of the facts. And the halloween memo, though interesting, has ~0% chance of being used in any legal preceding. The parent asked for proof, you responded with rumor and conjecture, try again.

Still copyright infringement. As most artists (and all who sign with riaa) give up their rights to their works for the huge distribution channel that these companys can provide.

So no paying the artist directly still gets these associations after you, Except now your paying more (your settlement plus what you sent the artist)

I just have to comment on that. You seem to have forgotten the 6-day war in 1967. Where this tiny, weak country took on Egypt, Jordan and Syria and basically kicked their butts. And in the process more then doubled the size of their country.

Now I in no way believe that Israel is controlling America. Though they are our most favored nation and thus get the lion's share of our foreign aid budget (about 30%).

    Pleasure to meet you Simonetta,

Well your argument is almost sound I would not have used The Station fire to make your point. While it shows state wide corruption, it is not for the reason you mentioned. You should have mentioned the rubber stamped fire inspection. Or better yet the whole buy your way onto the police force scandal. Hell even Plunderdome.

What you described was not state level corruption just someone cutting costs in a very illegal manner.

And if that were so typical in RI why was that the only time it has ever happened in the state.

And I still wouldn't say RI *is* the most corrupt, I would say *was* though. But a lot has happened in the past 10 years or so.

and on a final note, I don't think Buddy was a bad mayor, corrupt yes but not bad. He did a lot for a dying downtown district, too bad he never got a chance to finish that project.
