Not being able to go in a regular bar doesn't really bother me, since I've spent the last 2 years overseas any way. Most of the time the bars on post are cheaper than the ones off-post. Believe it or not, I never drank until I went to Korea. Over there the drinking age is 20, but if you're american they don't care.
I've been using Caldera for about a month, and I'm ready to get rid of it for something better. I couldn't even install a new kernel without killing the system.
I am in the Army myself, so this topic hits home for me. There is no way in hell that the thousands of military members would attack their own country. It just wouldn't happen. Even if foreign troops were brought in, how far do you think they would get? The united states is not like europe, A LOT more people have weapons here, not just the military. The military along with any civilians defending their homes would be a very tough defense. Unless you are not willing to fight, which would greatly reduce your odds of survival. The real thing to look out for is gun control and similar laws. One of the first things Hitler did was to confiscate all firearms.
I can think of plenty of apps that don't have linux versions. True, I could use wine, but I can't even get linux to detect my SCSI card, so I can't even get it installed.
All of you people saying that MP3 sounds like crap on your $1000 plus stereo, give me a break! How many people can afford to spend that much money on a stereo? I'd say maybe 10% of the country. Plus, ANYTHING could sound like crap on a system like that.
Personally, I don't like the way MP3s sound period, VQF has alwasy sounded better to me.
Another reason I don't like MP3 is that the kind of music I listen to(country), is almost impossible to find on the net. Almost every MP3 site that I have been to has the same shitty Pop/Rock songs that they play on the radio.
Can't say that I agree with you. But you are entitled to you opinion just as much as I am.
All I can say, is that when I get up in the morning, and look at that flag, and think about how many people have given their lives to defend this great land, then I know what it's all about.
I don't know about the private sector, but in the military we use the SSN for everything. Almost every single form you sign you need your SSN on it.

You know, Redhat Means Source is the gayest slogan I've ever heard. Not to mention misleading.
Source code should work on all distributions. ./configure make make install
In case you didn't know, Wine will run both Opera and Mirc. I tried them both last night.
If I saw her on the street I wouldn't even call her Ma'am, as she has no authority here in the U.S.
All I can say is lots of luck trying to extradite them.
Guess I won't be buying it then. Sorry Blizzard...
No, they're not the same code. Opera for Win 3.1 is 16 bit, the Win 95 version is 32 bit.

Subject says it all.
I think it's Holland, MI.
I used to be totally against gun control, but after spending a year in Korea, my view of things has changed.
I felt safer in that country than I have ever felt walking around American streets.
And to all of you paranoid who think that the government will take over if we have no guns, how will they do this?
They would have to use the Army, the police, or some similar organization.
I am in the Army, and I don't think anybody who works for the government would honestly support killing innocent citizens. I know I wouldn't.
The problem is that most Americans have never been OUTSIDE of America, and haven't seen our country from a different point of view.

DIVX is the reason I will no longer step foot in a circuit city store. That and they're crappy service.
I am in the Army, and yes, the Constitution IS a holy symbol to me. It represent everything that makes this country great. FREEDOM.
I am totally willing to fight, and perhaps die, to defend that. I can't believe what I just read.
I just have a few things to mention.

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it.
Or something similar to that.

And, yes, I do study history.
Since I am in the military, I work everyday to defend the rights of every citizen in this country.
Just because somebody calls you a hacker DOES NOT give the cops any right to arrest you. That is police harassment.
It really saddens me to see Americans so willing to give up their rights for a little personal safety.
I agree 100% with Patrick Henry
"Give me liberty or give me death"
