I had this happen. Google the number, find an email address, send them an email that you are getting these calls but you are not the intended recipient and you do not know the person, and to stop the calls or legal action will be taken. Never got another call.
The Mechanical Universe video series is a great learning tool for physics. http://www.learner.org/resourc... Or, check out the courses at www.edx.org some free, some paid if you want a certificate.
I used to look like the guy on a package of Zig-Zag papers, got pulled over all the time, and let them search my van. They never found anything because there was nothing to find.
And wasted their time. Told them I have Linux, they handed the phone to the tier 2 tech, still didn't know what Linux was but insisted my PC had a windows virus. They never called back after the next trick I pulled on them.
I use a Pentax 20x50 Binocular more than my low/mid priced refractor telescope. Also Stellarium www.stellarium.org is a good free planetarium for win/mac/linux PCs.
So what if I program it to turn off the radio by flipping the bird? And what will the cop in front of me (at a stop sign) think when he sees me flipping him off, when all I wanted to do was turn off the radio?
I agree, every household in most of Ca has been paying for this wart on their electric bill since it opened. Its been closed for almost a year and the decommissioning fees are still being collected. Factor in the cost overruns to build and maintain it and what it's going to cost for the spent fuel rods, which is still unknown, and it's going to equal a very deep money pit.
I use regtek http://www.registrationtek.com... They offer "private registration" service. For about 8 years I've never been spammed or snail-spammed by them.
I got those calls too, 3-4 times per week. They say they're from "Windows Support" not M$. I give them the runaround, wasting their time. Here's what to do, tell them you can't talk on this number and use the infected PC at the same time because it's your car phone, and to call back on your home number, and give them a number to... (use you're imagination here) Calls stopped.
I have a Garmin Nuvi, you can load topo maps on it and use it for off-road, hiking, and mountain biking. I've also found you can pull the gpx files off of it and import them into Google Earth, which is really cool.

For better care? I don't think so.
To develop a vaccine? Maybe.
To create a new weapon? Seems more likely.
Using Linux? Check.

Basically they guessed the password to gain control of the accessories you can operate with an android app? Some hacking job there, lol.
