You have a point there. On the youtube website "Smarter Every Day", the author was given an interview with Obama. He asked Obama why people are so politically-polarized nowadays. Obama (not an Obama supporter) said something rather interesting.

He noted exactly what you claim. That people establish ideas and they seek news sites that support their bias. Right wingers seek out sites that support their beliefs and left wingers seek out left wing news.

Objectivity in news is becoming a thing of the past.

It's up to us to seek out the truth but it takes effort to read between the lines to find the truth.

There's a problem with bark beetles boring in to heat stressed trees (pines). That accounts for a lot of the trees dying. The last few drought years have exacerbated the problem. The problem wasn't as bad last summer FWIW. Still not great but not as bad as the previous two years.

There isn't much of a choice.

California agriculture uses 80% of the developed water supply. Almonds use 8% of that water supply.

Agreed. Let's start with the sanitizing of war in the media.

No indication of death and destruction by our drones in foreign countries. No blood and guts (which war is).

Only brief mentions of our "war on terrorism".

Imagine if other countries did to us what we do with drone strikes initiated by people sitting in comfy little bunkers outside of Las Vegas.

This all started out with Bush getting on the media's depiction of war but is being perpetuated by our current President.

If we all saw the atrocity of war, we'd have a whole lot less war.

  15. Twice the manufacturing cost doesn't mean the phone cost will double. The majority of the phone cost is material cost. That would be pretty close to the same.
