Well, if you recall, Holy Grail has the Nordish stuff at the beginning. Spamalot, in keeping with the make fun of the Scandinavians tradition, has a Finnish dancing number at the beginning.
But we had to do something like this for my final in my eigth grade physical sciences class... we got to use all the chemicals and lab tools in the classroom, and it started by rolling a ball. Different groups worked on different parts, and the point was to be able to use physics and chemistry to provide the mechanisms for the machine to work. It was a lot of fun, and actually seemed to do a good job of testing us on our knowledge of the physical sciences.
I actually saw Spamalot on Monday, and I must say that it was rather funny. It opens this coming week, I believe, and I recommend that anyone who is not French, Finnish, Jewish, or Gay goes to see it, or, if (s)he is a member of one of those groups, that (s)he have a very good sence of humour. It was quite a good show, though, and a lot of fun to see.
And, John Lithgow was sitting five rows in front of me. He has a bald spot on the back of his head.

Unfortunately, this is not a troll; this is true. It is a shame that we are going to lose something that has been so valuable to us when NASA decomissions it soon, despite that some say that ground based telescopes are good enough now. Good bye, Hubble.
Oh, and that should be "Debian or NetBSD". I do not run them at the same time. And I do not know how well GKrellM works in NetBSD; I have been having problems lately, like my Prism Cardbus WiFi adapter not really working, and ACPI acting up in it, so I usually use Debian.
I do not normally boot my laptop into windows (I usually use Debian and NetBSD), but GkrellM is a nice tool: http://www.redbog.com/products/gkrellm.aspx. Like I said, though, I do not use it too much, so I do recall exactly how capable it is on Windows, but it ought to be useful. Good luck; my laptop has similar problems.
For the same reason that the military loves defectors during war; tbey can tell you how the other side operates, and therefore how to prevent their attacks.
Thank you. It actually drives me nuts when people say things like "virii" -NOT TO START A FLAME WAR- so it is nice to know that I was wrong so that I might avoid this mistake in the future. Just out of curiosity, what declention, et cetera was "abacus" in Greek? Thanks.
GMail does not like you to delete mail; it wants you to archive it - that is the reason that deletion is not how it "should" be.
But, as far as UIs go, I believe that all of the flame wars and discussions that happen because of this are for one reason - no UI will appeal to everyone. Some like GNOME because it is simpler and there is less configuration; some like KDE because it is extremely customizable; some like OSX because it is beautiful; some like Windows because it is simple and direct; I like fluxbox because it stays out of the way and does not interfere with what I do. I do not think that any UI will ever become "the best", because no one will ever agree on what is "the best". Use what you like, design things so that the highest fraction of the people who use it like it. But there is no perfect solution.
(je)

Um, read about halfway down in the second links, it shows the 3d pictures, how they are used for making words to type in, and an example using the word "lucky".
Thanks; MirOS looks interesting; I might have to try it. As for the hardware - yes, I know, but I got the laptop with a 3.0GHz Proc and 1GB RAM for $2000 (I am a cheap fool). But, I will give MirOS a go, since I am a big BSD fan and an OS junky.

Yeah, then maybe Slashdot would get fined for all those dupes and old stories.
So I could not read it, but I do hope that ADVENT and hack/rogue are there; in my opinion, they are still at the top of the gaming ladder.
And it should have been "do not recall" too. Spring break is killing my brain.

This almost seems like a good idea.

When I was a boy, our abaci took up an entire wall, and we had to move the stones with donkeys, ropes, and pullies. Mobile computing my ass!
Especially when I get a first post, though admittedly I ought to be paying attention to my World History class. But it really is addictive.
As obsessively posting to Slashdot!

If you are using Gentoo, then you should be getting all the ingredients and making the Viagra yourself.
(This is a joke - I have used Gentoo as well, thought mostly Debian and the BSDs, but I have nothing against it).

I do not know.
Does mean that I can finally replace the vacuum tubes in my computer? I am hoping for something that can fit in my bedroom.

My cognitive psychology professor started a sentence in class today with, "Now in humans, commonly called people..." It made wonder...
That is "GNU/Hurd", you insensitive clod.
