I still do a ton of my own work, but some of it I get in too deep with. My car is currently sitting at the shop because I got pissed off and took an angle grinder to the bolts of my cat-back (when replacing the downpipe) before realizing that they were permanently welded in studs. Plus I also broke one of the exhaust hangers.
Plus, all the tools I bought basically negated any savings I would've had over taking it to the shop in the first place.
Also, many newer cars are removing the throttle cable/linkages and replacing them with a gas pedal that just has the throttle position sensor built into it that the ECM reads and sends to the electronic Throttle Body. My Cobalt SS from 2005 is set up like that. Hydraulic power steering is also being slowly phased out for electric motors.
I'd imagine anything with a corporate account has separate rules.
Plus anyways, with our corporate stuff... the instant someone is terminated or the device is stolen/lost, we start executing a wipe on their device. Not much for the cops to do with it at that point.
I think you failed to read that his uncle stopped at a stop sign. You want all of us to blow a stop sign/red light when there is a scantily clad woman nearby?
Google devices such as the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7 are more developer-oriented systems.
Anyways, the "Amount of fucks I give in regard to fancy packaging" was once a variable in a program used on the USS Yorktown. Someone on that ship tried dividing by that variable, causing the propulsion systems to crash.
You know how hard it is to find a girl who likes guys who are overweight, work on computers, have an affinity for Cheetos, Mountain Dew, and avoiding showers?
Sprint: "Hey guys, we've picked up 4G... you should now have ISDN equivalent speeds instead of 56K-esque you had with our 3G!".
Maybe I'm just bitter because of all the remote desktop sessions I have to do over those slow Sprint air cards. Just marginally more usable with LANDesk than 56K.
Just because you issue a warning doesn't mean your end users will heed it. I've learned that all too well in regard to WhitePages. We tell our employees to not use it, yet they do so anyways. Then they bitch when we're replacing their systems due to a rogue AV suite.
So even if IT issues a general warning to not plug in the drive... some brain dead end user will do so anyways. It only takes one.
Yep. I think everyone at my Alma Mater (a PASSHE school in Butler county... cough) would love to have their 4 to 8 grand back for all the scheduling fuck ups it is known for. There are a large number of 4.5/5 year undergrads because there are too many required classes that fill up too fast every semester. Or the class you need is in direct time conflict with two other classes you need, and none of them are offered again until the next year.
Apple's lawyers sue since they probably have a patent for putting 'i' in front of the names of technological devices. At least with the crap they've been sneaking through the USPTO as of late.
Most people do. If you walk into a dealership wearing jeans and a t-shirt, they're probably not going to really give you the time of day.
If you walk in with a well tailored suit, then you're going to get much more attention.
DId they consider the fact that most of us who consume tons of caffeine are usually stuffed in an office somewhere outside of sunlight all day? The only sunlight I ever get is during the commute to and from work.
Most people are used to paying out the ass for inkjet/toner cartridges.
Anyways, the RepRap is much cheaper and flexible, but it isn't something the mainstream users that Cubify is targeting will be able to build/use. Your average Slashdotter that likes to tinker with 3D printing will take the time to become proficient with the small details of getting everything to work; but the run of the mill engineer, doctor or whatever trying to prototype something via CAD just wants it to work without much effort.
Plus it appears to be more polished, which helps in regard to workplace safety. An exposed extruder isn't something you really want. While I love the RepRap project, 3D printing won't become mainstream if it remains a gearhead type of operation.
Agreed. Even Bill Gates admitted it. Microsoft would rather you use pirated Windows if it means keeping you away from OS X or *nix. Same with Adobe and their Creative Suite.
The primary reason Adobe makes it laughably easy to pirate is primarily because they would rather people pirate it when just screwing around and make it the de-facto industry standard when those pirates have to legitimize when they start using it for a business need. If the aspiring graphic artists are used to Photoshop, they'll buy Photoshop when starting their business rather than jump ship to the GIMP.
Microsoft does the same thing. If you're used to using Microsoft's suites at home, you're likely to go with Microsoft solutions in the office as well.
Arguably, the hardware also costs much more than that of your average machine that runs window. Microsoft is more of a software company, Apple is more of a hardware one.
What the hell is an advertisement?

It isn't nearly as bad if it was the band... now if it was the other AC/DC, then it would probably be worse.
Did you hear that Pope John Paul II just died?
Psst... old news

They should put the option "Because I make stupid comments and I don't want my girlfriend/friends leaving me for being such a dipshit."

Well... if you peddle those keys to people in the hood, you'll make a few bucks pretty quick to pay for the machine and probably turn a profit.

If you're using active sync, you can make it part of the sync policy to wipe the phone when it is marked lost. We do that quite a bit.

Well... I go to Best Buy to just laugh at their plight and make snide comments about how anything above 5 dollars is retarded for a HDMI cable.
Mine was 12-18 credits was "Full time" under a single flat rate. Below and above were charged according to credit hour.

Can we also get a "Do not want" button as well? The amount of fat/ugly girls trolled would be amusing.
Just the other day a Linux distro decided that they want to do away with "Upgrade Kernel Without Reboot" feature of Linux
Now this guy wants to do away with CLI
Just what do they want to turn Linux into - another M$-Windows-like kludge?
While they are at it, why don't they import the "Windows registry feature" into Linux, and/or turn Linux into a proprietary closed-sourced OS??
Why can't they just leave Linux alone?
Well... given that I reboot about as often as I get laid, this should increase the number of times I get laid in a year. Where do I sign up?
