i agree. i have made the mistake of buying many products because they were inexpensive, even though reviews told me that the product was shit. You know what i found out, exactly what the word cheap really means.
i agree nokia, has some 'cool' features, but what i really care about is the sound quality, batt life, and basic phone operations. By sound quality i am not talking about tdma vs cdma vs foo, i mean the stuff inside that hike the price up to another $100.oo.
looks like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, and why not nokia? they are king of the cheap product? Why is it that the low-quality devices become so popular?
the best way to get back at them if they wont take you off the lists, is to kill their toner. All you need to do is take a couple black pages, and tape them together. Let it run through the scan, and have the paper recycle itself through as much as you want. Their fax (if its not a putter), will be out of toner in no time..
i remember reading something about a product called ismell. it was a card or something that was capable of reproducing any type of smell from grass and flowers to a baby's diper! but i dont think they have made the 'burning electronics' smell yet )
well said, i agree 100% with you.. I dont understand why people arguee about the copyright act, if they would just stray away from it, there would be alot less headaches.
I am running the story on the front page of ITBitch.com.
its true, the xbox live service will be scanning your box periodicly to see if your running a mod or not. This kinda sucks, because if you are playing online, they will be using udp for the game connection, and at any time, they could send a 'spike' through to your xbox, which would piggyback on your real udp game connection. This would surely give the player a lagg pocket, and cause an interruption in the enjoyment of that game.
I am thinking that the scanning may be done by a cluster somewhere, and it should be easy enough to look through some logs, find the range, and disallow that range through. There are also some of the newer chips, that supposibly turn off the mod, and therefore when you play online, you would not get noticed.
Happy bday Daemon News!! I am a huge bsd fanatic! give me any flavor over linux, and im happy (well minus closedbsd).. I have used Daemon News since i was a newbie a few years ago, and i still use it every now and then for the howto's section..
You guys rock! keep up the good work!!
i agree.. this really sucks.. I cant think of one reason right now to add this. I mean, i converted a site from frontpage for someone just to get away from frontpage extensions. I guess it will be cool to have the framework there as a mod, but it wont go on my 1.3.x
damn, i wonder if i can get them to replace my old palm pro. still works, but very little memory. Well i guess thats what i get for buying a USR palm! been 5 years with it, and it still works, so i guess memory isnt that big of a deal. Does anyone know any memory hacks for the oldschool palms?
looks like maxtor finally has done something about their short lifespans. Crap, i didnt think it would be shortening the warrenty. For IDE, im still happy with the WD line. We have been using some of the 2801 slim series, and they are not only slow, but are loud!! i would have never thought ide would come close to the sound of scsi.
Cheers..
Well i guess we have a few years before it comes out, but maybe ill finally have a tan! i spend way too much time working, coding, and learning to lay in the sun. now that i think about it, ill probobly have some type of excuse for not using the tan-pill as well..
cheers
im not too sure whats new, but i hope they have improved jail mgmt. As per the release schedule, the 4.7 PreRelease was out as of the first of sept! And as far as i know, the releases will come out 1 per quarter.

I dont really understand why there is that much of a need for electronics in furniture assembly. The instructions are there. They are also shown in basically a GUI layout, and not a text only version. It seems like we are dumbing down the public by incorporating items like this into tasks that require only a little bit of 'using your brain'.

Well, napster will be missed... There are however more p2p sharing services than there are people using the p2p techniques. Ill admit that the p2p method is ok.. But you dont really have any control of the other end, as to if the server(client), goes down at all. I think that the older methods, are still the best..
FTP, irc, usenet, they have been around for a long time now, and i believe will continue to thrive.
