Well of course it is! This is going to come off as a troll, but government workers can't be fired! Seriously, have you seen the amount of work/paperwork it takes to fire someone who works for the government. Your time is better spent using attrition, which is only slightly better. Who in their right mind would leave a job with no deadlines, no accountability, and of course -- you can't be fired!
FYI, both of them suck hard... WMPlayer cannot be hidden completely, it is *always* on top and the minimize only makes it look like a shortcut on a windows desktop, but what ever you are using it shows on top of, no matter if it is on another workspace. and the IE is slow as tar...but i am going to try the domain/username mentioned above...
Well, I use Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer both on Solaris. Media Player because I enjoy listening to talk radio at work (there is no other format for the stream of the station); IE because if I need to check an email address the goes through Outlook you need to be able to specify the "domain" or I believe that MS used to call it "realm" when logging on the web access, but you cannot do that with mozilla (the browser of choice otherwise) or any other browser that I know of...
Yes, but you have a dvd player, you get a dvd that wont play. these situations are not compatible in the way you compare them. Under your analogy, he has a vcr and hes mad that he cant play dvds
I wish they would make one with an AM radio built-in as well, I've never seen an mp3 player with one...I think it would be nice to be able to listen to talk radio or music on the ride to/from work.
If the duron comes with XP technology, does that mean there is a complementary holographic image of Bill Gates on the top of the cpu? Or does it mean you have to "activate" it and if you switch mobo's you have to call AMD to have it unlocked?
As I see it, if your game is runnning at only 30 fps, when ever the cpu has to allocate more time to other things be it AI, networking, cron jobs, etc, your fps will drop below and you will see the difference. Granted more ram will help eliminate this, but it's still something to consider I think. Also, perhaps it is just me, but I can see a difference between 30 fps and say 60-70 fps. It just looks smoother. You can also feel it as you play, it stays smooth during the whole game; perhaps that is what I think looks smoother...
PS - Everytime I hear Celeron, I think of celery, when I hear duron, I think of durable.:)
Why spend years in school to become one. Look at George Costanza from Seinfeld, he is a Marince Biologist, Archictect, Importer-Exporter, and the best damn assistant-to-the traveling secretary the Yankees have ever seen! Just do what he did -- pretend and let other people do all the work.;)
How about only congressmen have these (heh, then we will see how popular they are in congress)... then we could really see how often they are getting "extra-ciricular" activities with them.
*Error* The song you are trying to play is owned by the RIAA. This guitar will cease to function until you pay the required fee & you convert this guitar to Windows Media Format. (You will be automagically billed in 10secs...) Any attempts to circumvent this process will result in irreversible damage to said guitar. Have A Nice Day.
Interesting line from export restrictions, "This source code is subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and other U.S. law, and may not be exported or re-exported to certain countries (currently Afghanistan (Taliban controlled areas)...". And we all know that those areas will be non-exsistant:)
Simple, the French have the Coneheads to hook them up! Remember, "We come from France!" It's much easier to accomplish such things when you have a more technologically advanced alien helping you!
Does this mean that when I buy a music cd that has "supplemental software" on it, I am really just buying a computer program in the same sense that games are a computer program that has a soundtrack in the game? Maybe this will give the RIAA an excuse to charge $50 for a cd now...Or will software makers be forced to lower their prices to $18-$13...

Now we finally know what is in Davey Jones' locker! The most feared kernel hacker on the seven seas!

Well, if there is an accident on the freeway like that, I would bet that the cars would be moving close to 4km/h not to long after that :)
is ReplayTV based on linux as tivo is? (thereby making it easy to add space)
What is the breakthrough? That AMD actually *does* make a better cpu??

Apple sure does seem to be a wacky company, first this, and now those barely legible notices at the iPod commercials that read "Don't Steal Music".
Well, doesn't run windows ce? first they freeze all the time and now this it will be interesting indeed
You could *buy* them movie for $20, the rental business would be gone overnight :)

Why does the link to CDW point slashdot.org?
Many believe they purchased it to "port" it to the palm platform as a competitor for windows ce, and use it instead of palmOS but only time will tell.
Becuase it's against the licence for OEMs to make any other OS available besides Windows. See this.

Does this mean that the people currently infected with anthrax will be arrested for having possession of it with no legitimite purpose?
