  1. Bad analogy. I don't "get off" on Google or Amazon having some data. It's a compromise some people are perfectly willing to make, whether fully informed or not, in exchange for a little bit of convenience in their lives. That doesn't make them morons, and it also doesn't mean they should have to put up with third parties taking advantage of their device for their own schemes.

    If I open my window to let some fresh air in, I know a fly might get in, or might start to rain. That's the compromise. But if someone flings a bag of shit through my window, they've been a dick and I should not be expected to put up with it just because I wanted some fresh air.

    I don't even know what you're trying to say.

    "Reponsible for" in what way? I think it's pretty reasonable to expect them not to specifically exploit their presence.

    If you choose to open a window to let some fresh air in one day, and someone hops up and takes a dump through it, are you going to blame yourself or the guy taking a dump?

    Only this isn't about really old Windows, it's about not-so-old Windows which is still going to get updates if you have a different processor - and for seemingly no good reason other than to annoy people into getting Windows 10.

    They may have known they weren't getting any more, but wanted to try to get you to cancel the order instead of having to do it themselves, since then it doesn't have a negative impact on their account status.

    I've seen it a few times - sellers asking customers to cancel the orders that the seller can't fulfil.

    Don't know how modded you troll. Sound is going to be an incredibly important factor in getting something like this off the ground, as it were. As I understand it, jets have been getting significantly quieter over recent years, and this has allowed air travel and airports to expand where previously it wouldn't have been allowed.
