    There is also a well established precident and custom of owners of large widely read newspapers using the editorial sections to spout their personal beliefs, concerns, views....etc.

    20 years man. 20 years . Yes you can download a tiny part that somewhat works on a limited range of hardware. But its been 20 years. Its taken so long to be produced that it has become irrelevant. GNU runs just fine on Linux. And since GNU/Hurd would have the same damn license as GNU/Linux whats the point of using Hurd at all? People who want a better *NIX than Linux already have that choice in FreeBSD.

    The problem is rank and file Slashdotters like you cannot seem to comprehend that hackng and stealing code is a REAL crime that needs to be investigated and prosecuted. You also believe that any law enforcement action is the indication of us all living in a police state.

    NGO's are INCREDIBLY annoying with their constnat incessant whinning against globalization and capitalism.

    Not much is ever said about the fact that most NGO's are staffed by spoiled first worlders who feel some sort of guilt for having been born in a wealthy nation but anyways anything that interferes in the daily business of an NGO is good in my mind.

    I believe that as of Windows XP and Mac OS X the two major desktop operating systems reached not only parity in GUI development but a plateau. Any differences between the two are minor and the resulting choice would therefore be one of preference.

    It doesn't matter WHAT their costs are. A company's intention is not to provide you with the lowest price (unless your Wal-Mart) but to charge as much as people will pay.

    That being said why would you want to make $30 per transaction instead of $650?
