How does someone "accidentally" release something that will repeatedly call 911 on thousands and thousands of phones? Sounds like the creator is full of bullshit or stupid beyond comprehension.
This company deserves to get fined for all it's worth for its rampant trampling of regulations, consumer protection laws, and poisonous work culture.
It boggles the mind that they're still attracting drivers and customers after so many years of being openly obnoxious.
They're still leaps and bounds better than the taxi companies, which is why they're still here. If you're not able to drive somewhere you want to go, you're probably not going to be thinking about their corporate culture. You're going to be more interested in: how much will it cost, and when will you get there? It's not like everyone refuses to buy clothes until all the sweatshops are closed. They need clothes. Don't care where they come from. Same with Uber.
I smoke and drink as part of my warm up before a 10km or longer run. I don't eat dessert because "it's unhealthy" yet I've even pizza every day for a week. We're all hypocrites in our own ways. Nothing bad about it.
So you can admit to acting like a sanctimonious shitbag and feel morally justified, but others can't say their opinions because you disagree with them? Aren't you being the sanctimonious shitbag?
Stay on the LTS version you're running until the absolute latest possible moment. I've gone through a decade of Ubuntu updates, and I can say without doubt that it's always a pain in the ass. Every 3 years I lose a week or more of productivity due to things breaking, or being changed, or whatever. Much like a knee replacement, put it off as long as possible.
If you work for Apple on iOS security do you think twice when some pretty girl at the bar starts talking to you, especially if she says her name is Natasha?
Can confirm that talking to a girl named Natasha was a bad idea and should cause suspicion.
Why not crowdsource it instead of fancy AI? I'm sure we could find some diligent and hardworking teenagers who'd be willing to do this for minimum wage. They could get invaluable experience working a 9 to 5. That would help build some character.
This author brings up a great point. We should create a new standard way for people to chat because that will solve all the problems.
Maybe they meant, "Cyberfox Developer Proclaims Death of Their Web Browser"? Still... it's a bit melodramatic, don't you think?

Unless this proves Futurama is a documentary, I am not impressed.
I smoke a pack a day which kills my sense of smell enough that this isn't an issue.

Perhaps it is the HR manager that should be fired.
I'd think the whole department should be scrapped from what I've heard. It's not only the women who are being shat on.
Those bridges are all in Pittsburgh alone. Wonder how many there would be if other cities were considered ...
It's simple. It's like smoking cigarettes instead of crack. The latter will ruin you much quicker.
Are these polls from the same media that showed Hiilldog as winning in a landslide? Can you even trust them? Or at least cite your sources?
Nevermind. It's an article with no content other than what's behind a paywall. Move along.
No comments and this is over 5 seconds old? Are people reading the article? Am I in the Twilight Zone?
That's not what the voices in my head tell me...

You're confusing antivaxxers with MRAs.

I think the "dick-all" part is what's bothering people...
If other people's opinions are enough to discourage you, then you have a weak spine and won't succeed at anything you do.

Standards and practices, especially with email, were never really the Clinton way of doing things. This fans the flames on the email fiasco.

I'd add that it'd be best to go during winter when it's colder.
