    This company deserves to get fined for all it's worth for its rampant trampling of regulations, consumer protection laws, and poisonous work culture.

    It boggles the mind that they're still attracting drivers and customers after so many years of being openly obnoxious.

    They're still leaps and bounds better than the taxi companies, which is why they're still here. If you're not able to drive somewhere you want to go, you're probably not going to be thinking about their corporate culture. You're going to be more interested in: how much will it cost, and when will you get there? It's not like everyone refuses to buy clothes until all the sweatshops are closed. They need clothes. Don't care where they come from. Same with Uber.

    I smoke and drink as part of my warm up before a 10km or longer run. I don't eat dessert because "it's unhealthy" yet I've even pizza every day for a week. We're all hypocrites in our own ways. Nothing bad about it.

    My system has 8GB of RAM. Firefox only uses 7GB. I don't see the probl... connection timed out.

    Stay on the LTS version you're running until the absolute latest possible moment. I've gone through a decade of Ubuntu updates, and I can say without doubt that it's always a pain in the ass. Every 3 years I lose a week or more of productivity due to things breaking, or being changed, or whatever. Much like a knee replacement, put it off as long as possible.

  24. Why not crowdsource it instead of fancy AI? I'm sure we could find some diligent and hardworking teenagers who'd be willing to do this for minimum wage. They could get invaluable experience working a 9 to 5. That would help build some character.
