Now, If we can port some of this code to KDE (if their exchange connector isn't as advanced as GNOME's) I can make the pitch to switch my dekstop @ work to Linux:-)
I spoke to the maintainer at OLS and he mentioned that some work with the native IPSec was in the works and some other neat functionality (to be merged into 2.6+ eventually [?])
Check out The Other FreeSWAN (fork)
I have a FUJITSU MPE3064AT and the thing sounds like a crying baby. It's only two years old. S.M.A.R.T reports one failure so far. Thankfully, it's no longer my primary drive for anything useful;-)
@ Work i'm using KDE 3.1beta2 from sources with stock RedHat 8.0. Remove all the KDE dependencies, keep the RedHat QT libraries.
Grabbed QT 3.0.5 from trolltech, grabbed KDE 3.1beta2 tarballs from kde.org compiled using the RedHat compiler/linkers. Set prefix for qt to/usr/local/qt and KDE to/usr/local/kde. This way, I dont break any RPM dependency hell:)
Now, I'd love to make RPMs for KDE 3.1beta2 but not yet since I don't know.spec files;/
You know, what could be behind the second door? a dead wall. Perhaps the ancient Egyptians made a mistake when they made the shaft. Or, perhaps it was done on purpose due to the fact the "Queens chamber" was never used or was supposed to be a dummy. For all I know, this might be the oldest wild goose chase in the word =)
This will be great for kernel development because know I can test my kernel patches. Expect a new -shawn12 kernel patch soon =). On a side note, now that XFS is going (?) into the 2.5 kernel, I will continue to work on the 2.4 patches until 2.6 comes out. As always, you can find my patches at: http://xfs.sh0n.net/2.4 ShawnX
There is, it's called the transcapaciter. I heard about this a few years ago on Art Bells radio program. There might be a patent on it. Basically it was a device that measured 1 and 0 and then the signals inbetween. Neet stuff but I don't know how it could be used. - ShawnX Posted from my blackberry =)
Just traceroute to iraa.org guess who it goes though? UUNET! (Alter.net) =) Pehraps UUNET should just YANK THE FUCKERS OFF THE NET and be done with it!

Yeah, and that one is the THIRD closest astroid to come close to us the next ones are in 2027, and 2080.
Unfortunately, if Microsoft pulls any crap like this *I*'ll be the first to fire a class action lawsuit at the company and sue them for millions of dollars in damages (damages being my right to not run Linux). People have to get up and sue Microsoft more and more and MORE or we'll never see the end of this evil.
Researchers were able to teleport laser light from one area to another:)
That should certainly help the last-mile issue. According to the researchers, it would create a secure data channel because only properties of the protons/neutrons are sent or something. It was an interesting read. For all you Slashdot nerds in Toronto, you can find it on your local TTC bus;)
Actually, we need to SUE M$ for this kind of crap and we need to do it in class-action style. We need to get the FSF involved. It's about time we fired back at M$ and let them know we won't give into their garbage. I've thought about starting a class-action lawsuit against M$ myself but they have not affected my abilities to create, modify/contribute (GPL'd) free software. Until they intrude onto my rights to use/develop free software, thats when the lawsuits will fly. I'm sick of this M$ FUD and bill gates. SHUT UP ALREADY!
Careful gentoo's 2.4.19 is my patch: linux-2.4.19-pre2-ac4-xfs-shawn10a available at: http://xfs.sh0n.net contains: XFS Patches w/ Rmap + AC.
The problem is, I broke quota hard and I should have -shawn11 out for gentoo tonight or so. AC Quota / XFS quota really take a beating;)

HAHAHAHA That is cool, that just brightened my loooong day :-)
Wasn't that NOSCO? ;-)
There still is http://pciids.sourceforge.net/
Which is maintained.
Unless the two databases were different?

Why don't we just form our own 'standards organizations' and drop this crap then? If Open Source creates NEW standards then others should follow.
Sorry, I'm not going to run ident just to have the ident server exploited :P
If an irc network won't let me connect I'll go elsewhere.

Try my patches at http://xfs.sh0n.net/2.4. They merge in XFS with 2.4.20-pre7 (current) and rmap =)

Very nice. now I can console in to the box to debug kernels

Excuse me, reguardless if its MODULE_LICENSE_GPL. It's still designed to prevent binary drivers from polluting the kernel.
