Actually, 136dB - 108dB is 28dB, divide that by 6dB and that's how many times the level has doubled. It's actually more than 2^4 = 16 times as loud. The 2500W is probably the input wattage it can handle without blowing up. B&O's tend to be really oddly shaped, which probably really lowers efficiency, thus the lower SPL.

They will probably not offer this in Canada for many of the same reasons that TechTV Canada does not offer Anime Unleashed.
Oh, it's going to suck that bad?;) Don't get me wrong, I like some anime, but you're definitely not missing much by not watching Anime Unleashed. What does anime have to do with technology anyway (besides that it's video)?
Actually, Microsoft software is quite reliable. Reliability does not, however, imply security or stability. My friends' MS software crashes quite reliably.;)
The only Evil is when good men turn a blind eye to evil.
But if there was no evil in the first place, then no good man could turn a blind eye to it (as it does not exist.) Obviously there is evil in the world, that means that there was evil before a good man turned a blind eye, and your statement cannot be true.
Be careful. Pounds are a measure of weight, not of mass, and hydrogen is less dense than the atmosphere, and will float. It's even lighter than the commonly-used helium (but a lot less inert). You might actually get a negative weight, in which case it's a lot more efficient than gasoline pound for pound. Gram for gram, however...;)
Glass picks up low frequencies pretty well, but only when its width is small compared to its area. Most of the stained glass that I've seen has been divided into smaller parts, with metal "beams" (for lack of a better word) holding them in place, so I don't think that resonances are going to be a very big problem. It might even be quieter than metal cases, due to the diversity of the materials used.

You act as if cats and dogs were useful for any other purpose. Until it is proven to me that they serve a useful purpose, other than as meat, to society, maybe I'll condemn their slaughter for food purposes. Until then, I say let the cute and furry animals be cooked up just like the not-so-much so. To do otherwise would be discrimination.
I'd be willing to bet that the flicker would change in rate as time went on. Sure, you could match it for a minute or two, but then it'd go out of sync and you'd get a ton of flicker again. As long as it changes more quickly than it's possible for the person to keep up, then their tactics will work.
It's also possible that they're just alternately showing frames later/earlier than their usual times. I'm not sure of the exposure time on most cameras, but it's probably less than half of 1/24 of a second (the time between frames on film). Moving frames by that small of a time it slightly would probably not be noticeable by most, unless they were actually looking for it.
Actually, 90% market share means gobs of revenue. You can have all the revenue in the world, but if your overhead is more, you're still not making a profit.
A 4% or so mortality rate on a grand scale would indeed be of Black Plague proportions.
Really? IIRC, the Black Plague was actually one of the biggest catalysts for the Renaissance in Europe. Yes, that's right. We may get Farscape back after all!;)
Five million dollars is my price, and yes, go ahead. With SARS's apparent 5% kill rate (Oh no!) I'd have a 95% chance to survive, and a 100% chance that I'd enjoy the rest of my life.

I think it's time for me to look into residence in places other than the U$ of A. I've been thinking of Australia and France, though Brazil sounds good too. Any suggestions?

On the contrary, my friend. Our purpose is quite simple, in fact. It is plastic. You see, nature couldn't create it on its own, and felt a yearning for it, so it created us to create plastic for it. So, the next time you throw out your bottles or plastic food wrappers, feel content -- you are serving a greater purpose.
On x86 architectures (your PC), as well as most others, 24 bit color is actually slower than 32 bit. Sure, it takes up 25% more memory, but since memory operations involving more than one byte are generally aligned to a fullword (32 bit) boundary, it can take more operations to deal with each pixel using 24 bit color. In the end, I think you'd find that this makes your desktop even more sluggish than all of those wasted bytes do.
Exponential growth does mean that the exponent is positive. With a negative exponent, it would be exponential decay.
Or its even more obscure but related tongue, "Wife".

Naaah. Wives are too easy to order from foreign countries. The trick is in getting a woman to stay with you for a reason other than a green card.
The downside is that now the FBI is gonna crawl up the ass of everyone who ever bought a copy of The Klingon Dictionary.
