You mean like archive.org? I actually went there recently to look at old Geocities, and was shocked that they don't have it all backed up there. Archive.org has pretty much everything else I've looked for. Any idea why geocities is not there?
It's clearly not sarcasm, and I tend to put it in the same category as confusing their/there/they're. Every time I read it, I take it literally and have to read it again to be sure of what the writer is meaning.
There should be a mod for having grammar so wrong that it's confusing.
More stable than that which has never crashed in a time period that is several times the age of Windows 7? It's not possible to back up that claim, whether it's Mac OS X or Windows XP that you're comparing Windows 7 to. It's been years since I saw any stability problems in either of them with normal everyday use. Windows 7 simply hasn't been around long enough to make that comparison.
expecting non-computer savvy people to understand what 5GB is, and the fact that it's not "unlimited" like they state is deceiving and unethical
If you're using the internet, perhaps you *should* understand what 5GB is. If you're using a road, you should know what 55mph is. Don't do your research first and you're likely to end up out of pocket. I'm sure there are many other scenarios where this can be applied to.
Here in the US, the Droid is a CDMA/EVDO variant, which means it is only capable of operating on two carriers - Verizon Wireless and Sprint.
Meaning that as someone who likes to travel a lot (both for work and vacation), I will never buy a phone like that - not every country in the world has Verizon. By using some non-standard technology, they're making their device rather useless to so many people.
I've been in a car that did lose both of these systems... but yes, the brakes still work... just takes more effort. And not every country has an FHSA or their rules;-)
And lose power assisted braking and steering, also risking the steering lock activating. For sure putting the car in neutral and applying the brakes is a better idea.
I've had a couple of cars that did that - based on a GPS unit's opinion of the actual speed. The car i have now says it is going at the same speed that the same GPS unit says. The two cars that got it wrong were in Europe and the other is in the US.
Similar story here... I have a Dell Mini 9 with a 16GB SSD (running Ubuntu). It's turned on all the time, and sees about 10 hours of heavy use per day. I've not had any problems with the SSD (yet).

Linux is obtuse? "dull, blunt, dense, slow-witted"?
Do you mean that the average user is too obtuse for Linux? I think that might be more true, in addition to them being too set in their ways.
"back" to the moon? ;-)
The iPhone can use SSL for email too. That's not mail encryption. S/MIME is. I doubt many people really care though. SSL is good enough for me.

I believe it is the case in some European countries.
In the UAE, they wanted a copy of my passport to register a pre-paid phone/sim card.
In California, I believe I just had to give a valid ZIP code (and that may just be the network's choice rather than law... not sure).
Yes, it has
Microsoft already ship open source apps and code. I don't have a Windows box handy to find a specific example, but much of SUA is open source.

And they missed out this fantastic example which I saw in a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi.

I have no idea who that is. Can you give a car analogy instead?

Problem exists between accelerator and chair?
What's wrong with iTunes? I actually prefer it over any of the alternatives I've tried.
And in the meantime, perhaps they should be fired.
2006 called and it wants its alpha-quality reverse engineered WiFi drivers back.
Actually out of all the laptops and WiFi cards I've used, only one (4th gen Linksys) had problems with Linux and drivers (it needed ndiswrapper).
Yes Homer, we all believe you.

America seems like a good place to live
But they like to get out of the bubble and see what the rest of the world has to offer more than people from some other countries/continents do.
