I really enjoyed watching the characters interact in the Evangelion. But the last episode was a total letdown, which really ruined the series. So I thought about watching "End of Eva" but several reviews that said "don't bother, it's basically just screwing over the fans."
Skipping this one. Let me know when a GOOD anime is going live action.
If I agree to use the software under the GPL, I'm allowed to take GNU Ghostscript and do whatever I want with it, right? (as long as I abide by the GPL). Someone explain why this is a big deal. If I license a product to you under the GPL, the source is forever free...or not?
The press releases have been like that since 3.0, I don't about stuff before that. They're just trying to appear more professional, nothing wrong with that.
And please people! Just because Gentoo is free doesn't mean the developers don't deserve some compensation. They have a store, and I have the big Gentoo poster hanging on my wall now:) Big projects like Gentoo and their mirror system must require a decent bit of cash, so if you like it and use it, please help them out (Disclaimer: I'm just a satisfied user who moved from LFS to Gentoo)
Good example... My insurance rate probably goes up, and everyone thinks I'm a moron for leaving the car unattended. I was asking for it, same as having bootleg music on a public server.
I'm not sure you can have an FTP that allows anonymous access and not call it public. If you're going to host videos/songs then you should be smart about it. Some dumbass that puts an MP3 file on his school's FTP server deserves to get caught. Just don't allow anon access, and you should be okay (because if they try to break in, guess what? That's called illegal entry)
I know I shouldn't (and I haven't so far:)) But if I do end up getting screwed by a dumb law/wronly applied law, I hope everyone who breaks it gets screwed. The more people get pissed about something the more likely they are to act. In this case maybe it would lead to better copyright laws.
If I'm going to get in trouble because I legally encode CDs into Ogg/MP3, then why shouldn't an artist get in trouble for actually profiting off someone else's work? I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but the law should apply to everyone.
I use samba on linux specifically for filesharing. The file server hosts all my family's CDs as MP3 and Ogg files. I used to have a win2K box for the same thing, and I don't notice any difference in speed.
And there just might be information that's only available there. I used to run two LFS systems (for the learning experience) but now I'm using Gentoo. I still visit the LFS Hints often, especially when I can't find something quickly on the Gentoo forums. There's guides to cryptographic file systems, effectively using SSH, printing with CUPS, and lots more good stuff. Check out the "How to build a Pure LFS, which is based on comments/criticism from Alan Cox.
I have several programs that can acccess this function. One's called Word, another's called Outlook, and there's a few more I forgot.
Then maybe I should watch the whole series, or at least the last 4 or 5 episodes, and see if I "get it" this time. We'll see :)

I've heard in science classes from high school to college that there's barely a difference in a bacteria's DNA and ours. So 99.4% is the magic number?
I'm on gentoo. O7, and 6, have really nice fonts.

Edit->Inline Find. Then when you hit CTRL+F you can just start typing. It was an unofficial option since Opera 6, maybe earlier.

And if that's not bad enough, it also spells orgefu, which is a rare type of Mexican horse-eating carp.
Wooh! Hot seat!

If you want to save the state I guess you could encrypt it. But then I guess it'd be easier to save it to an encrypted disk, then wipe it.
Let your NanoRAM be encrypted too. Supply the passphrase at boot.
Even in the the 1700s the Shaftoes were some bad mutha-
Yeah, I agree with you on that :) 5 clients (max) streaming audio isn't a real-world example.

Oddly enough, I tried playing this last release with Xine, and it worked perfectly, even the audio synched up.
What version of Wine are you using? I can't Quicktime to work with CVS or WineX
I still need to plow through that PDF. It looked like it a lot of good info.

Ah, but for the lack of mod points.
