You could just run the Ubuntu Server as a VMWare client on your Windows machine (or vice versa). I do that all the time for development and it works great if you have enough RAM.
So is it Debian 3.11 for Workgroups or did they make the full leap to Debian 95?
There was a comment on the article with Vista falling behind few days ago where someone said even Etch would be release before Vista... guess he was right!:)
I also love Deskbar integrated with Beagle! I've just stopped hunting down directories. I search for folders, documents, tomboy notes, web history, bookmarks, applications etc. with Deskbar.
This plus Xgl and all the Mono stuff is making my desktop really good:) Windows Vista has a really good competitor when it comes out.
I bet you dont learn in marketing class to name you products "Jesusonic CrusFX 1000" and make it look like a cross! Never ever bind religion to something you dont have to, it just causes trouble!
If you really want the windows box be on a separate computer I would use VNC but I run windows through vmware when I need to. Then both OS's are run at the same time on the same computer, Windows runs like every other app on Linux http://vmware.com
A very drunk man is in a bar on third floor when this annoying guy comes in. The drunk guy says: "Hey I have a great drink for you! You will feel very energized" and then tells the bartender to make two of this drink. The drunk man drinks first, his eyes pop out, he gets red in the face, shoots out the window, flies around the building one time and back in the window.
The annoying guy is impressed and tries the drink. The same happens to him, his eyes pop out, he turns red and shoots out the window.... but straight on the sidewalk below.
The bartender: "I hate it when you do this Clark Kent!"
Good point. It's about freedom of choice. Gary has a choice to use Win or Linux or MacOS... Gary has a choice to use Gnome or KDE or... Gary has a choice to use the Enter key or not...;)
That was a bad try at April's fools for us Icelanders.
The smallest Krone bill is 500ISK. :)
100ISK is only like 80 cents USD
But everything is better than OMG PONIES!!!
Now you are just making up stuff you saw in Civilization! ;)

The biggest change for me is probably how much better Epiphany is getting. I was getting tired of Firefox freezing for few seconds every now and then so I switched and love it! There are few issues with it but overall, very nice!
There is an overview of Epiphany here: http://ploum.frimouvy.org/?2006/03/15/100-why-you
and here: http://raphael.slinckx.net/blog/2006-03-15/epipha

>one word: VMWare
>two acronyms: ESX,GSX
>that should start to get the numbers down.
mind that you still would have to buy a windows licence for each instance of vmware running. you would only save on the hardware cost
AJAX is also good for intranet applications that need to access the companys database for example.
It much easier to upgrade an AJAX application than a traditional application for 2000 employee computers.
The IT staff probably loves this trend!

Synaptics says I have access to 16237 packages after I enable universe (and 3 reps with 10 or less packages)... so he's almost right :-)
ps. Hoary is more stable than any other desktop distro I've used.

But your tinfoil-hat-army probably thinks they have backdoors for them
... if you're running into the limits of TI-BASIC programming, you might be interested in learning assembler for the calculator...
Or a laptop with Maple, Matlab or something equalent.
I'm not trying to be a troll, just when something takes 5 minutes on your calculator you are using the wrong tool I would say.

Hey, stop making fun of our language!!! Icelandic is spoken by about 300.000 people... yeah ok, I get your point ;)
Reminded me of one also:

It's not like they are anywhere close to exstinction and the whaling is very limited here in Iceland and their population is followed closely.
