  1. People Have...they use Linux on their Smartphones on Why Aren't People Abandoning Windows For Linux? (slashgear.com) · · Score: 1

Technically, for many people, their primary computing device has changed from their desktop to their smartphones/tablets. So, you could make the argument that many people HAVE switched from Windows to Linux (and *nix since IOS is a version of *nix..basically BSD with a Darwin Kernel).

  2. Actually, there are probably open cases in DOJ about most or all of those.

Looks like the only reliable cross communication messaging platform (that I can get people like my wife's parents) to actually load on their phones (and no, they are not going to install signal) is going to be SMS. 14. I know this will never happen (It's about as likely as adopting Stardates...) but UTC for everybody would solve the problem. Fact of the matter is, people do things at different times (like eat Breakfast) at different times (actual time, not clock time) around the world. The clock time should reflect that. I'm a bit biased because I deal with international video conferences and UTC would make things SO MUCH EASIER.

Yea, If I were a big movie star I'd have my face detail mapped when I was young (or immediately to retain as much youth as possible) so that in my later years the accuracy would be there. I wonder if some big actors are voluntarily doing that yet?

I think it's not unreasonable to find more de-aging being done (like in Ant-Man and the Tron Sequel). Actors better have good estates that can defend (and license) their likeness because it's going to get easier and easier to replicate them as technology gets better and better. The money involved would be crazy. Imagine if Terantino got Clint to do voice over work for a new Spaghetti western style flick where the actor is being played by a stand in that is manipulated by CG to look like Clint from the 60's. If it was done right and believable people would line up at the theater to see it.
