There is an even bigger problem with banning something into oblivion- The government gets used to that tax money, and once that item actually goes away, you are left with designated spending that needs to be funded (because we know the option of "end that particular spending" is never addressed). So now taxes get raised on something else instead.
You are correct, however, unlike Obama, Sanders has been in politics for decades, and has a track record you can go back and look at. When Obama started campaigning for president, he had a whopping 2 years on record.
As much as I am not politically aligned with Sanders, the difference between him and Obama is that Obama was chosen and groomed as President. Sanders on the other hand is not being groomed by the media and the democrats. And I have to admit that Sanders, again, unlike Obama, is very straightforward and honest with what he wants to achieve. I may disagree with Sanders, but I still trust him when he makes a promise.

"Last year, the New York state government launched Start-Up NY, a program designed to boost employment by creating tax-free zones for technology and manufacturing firms that partner with academic institutions."
See, this is what you are supposed to think, but here is how the truth of the matter reads:
"Last year, the New York state government launched Start-Up NY, a program that allows state politicians to give tax money to their buddies while having the appearance that they care about jobs and the general public."
I always liked the Shogi variant of chess. Other than a slightly larger board (9x9), and a few more pieces (20), you also have unit promotions, and deployment of captured pieces. The deployment of captured pieces especially keeps the late game from becoming simplified.
I wonder how these people would react if they were told A: their cars needed to have a GPS connection to be allowed to drive, and then B: a few years after owning their cars, the GPS system they used was taken offline and they were told they were SOL and had to buy a new car.
OK, serious question then - should we go back to only allowing land owners to vote? Plenty of people on welfare vote for candidates who promise to expand welfare, which is paid for in part by property taxes.
Democrats see votes for Libertarian as Republican votes that don't count, and Republicans see votes for Green Party as Democrat votes that don't count.

It's like saying that handing out new hammers to a bunch of carpenters will make the bad ones good. A tool can only enhance quality, not create it.

Aren't police protected by unions, and unions tend to be very left leaning?
Not to store license plate data. You know, just like the TSA promised it wouldn't store pictures it took with it's body scanner.
Sure you can. Comcast just wasn't paying enough this time.
"Comcast will have to give us more money before we let them merge with Time Warner"
Thank you for painting ~5 billion people using a single swipe from an enormous paintbrush.
And a computer can never beat me in Tic Tac Toe, only reach a draw.
I take it you've never had to work with a public school district administration board before?
And your koolaid cup needs a refill.

That's ridiculous, to think I would vote for someone because of their sex! I am going to vote for Hillary because she's white, of course.
It just takes a slight shift of power, or one small mistake, for one player to get momentum and end up with the majority of pieces.

Social networks don't turn people in to narcissistic pricks, it feeds on the fact that most people already are.
Eh, it's far more likely that these are pre-existing genes getting switched on or off as opposed to new ones being generated via mutation.
If this is a matter of existing genes being switched on or off, then 150 years isn't too short of a time.

Well, he's...he's, ah...probably pining for the fjords.

I don't think he was incorrect that "their rights stopped where his started", I think he just doesn't realize where his rights actually start.
